According to research, half of Britons have added 'travel' to their bucket list, but exploring doesn't have to involve trekking America's Grand Canyon or meeting Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka.

One internet company has come up with the '50 British Things To Do Before You Die' a list of the best activities for the patriotic - and cash-strapped - traveller.

The bucket list includes everything from from seeing Tower Bridge being raised to watching the sun come up over Stonehenge on midsummer's day or following a Wainwright walk in the Lake District.

I've done the above. None of them have been or would be on my own personal bucket list though... Hubby has climbed Ben Nevis and Snowdonia too... not something I would want to do really lol xx

Done those (if you count 'watching live' and 'witnessing' things as on the tv).

 

Most of the others I wouldn't even think to put on a bucket list, and most of the above wouldn't be but I just happen to have done them.
