Gareth 666
Hi, I'm after a short term fix if anyone has any ideas please. I'm in between broadband contracts, my old BT has ended and my Tesco doesn't go completely live until Feb 28th. As such my BT anti-virus software has stopped working but Tesco won't send their software until the new contract officially starts (even though they're already supplying broadband, apparently free until take over day). So what I need is a suggestion for a good, hopefully free, anti-virus program to plug the gap. Any ideas are warmly welcomed. Ta
pilotg2
Check out download.com loads of free antivirus programs... just remember to completely remove your current AV before installing new AV. Also what OS are you using? Windows 8 comes with AV software called Windows Defender.

Parley
I'm currently using Zonealarm Free firewall and AVG's free Anti virus. Working well. I had always paid in the past but these 2 free options seem to work fine.

Guest Ptp113
AV's are basically useless. Wait until your infected, hope somebody comes up with a new virus definition, then wait until it's available as a download, and then hope it removes it. By then the damage is done.
