Rafflles
Is it OK for me to work for a UK company (getting paid in the UK) that has no branches/offices in Australia whilst on a holiday visa in Australia. Like "working from home" but at a friends house in Melbourne? Any relevant information greatly received. Thanks.
newjez
How would they know? Actually, I would like to do this long term, but I don't think my employer would bite. Although we do have some apps supported from oz. Mad.
SteveandKirsty
!! Seriously though, I did just the same - 14 years ago, I wrote some articles for a magazine in the UK and sent them via email (which was actually still regarded as Hi-tech then!) and they paid me into my UK bank account. I cant see what is wrong with it.
rammygirl
Short term not a problem if it is genuinely a holiday. My OH half runs his own business and often works whilst we are away especially if we are away for a few weeks. His clients often don't even know he is not in the UK! It usually pays for the holiday in the end.
blossom
Technically it isn't allowed.
boganbear
Why would you come to the other side of the world, supposedly for a holiday but then do some work. When i'm on holiday I don't do a thing related to work
