You can usually get something around Perrin Park if you don't leave it too long. But then you have to walk up the aptly named Burns Rd where your thighs burn by half way up Does seem a shame to drive to such a well connected suburb though. Good schools, busy and lovely quiet pockets, so you can take your pick, and has great access to all the activities of Brisbane for a family via: - Quick train to CBD - Major cycling tracks along the river straight into the CBD and Southbank/Cultural District - Access to the Citycat network for great family days out - Next to Mt Coot-tha for walking, bike riding, botantical gardens etc - It's own little shopping village with cafe's You might also consider living a stop or two up the train line at Taringa or Indooroopilly. fish.01 Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Prices tend to drop as you go further out and the houses change from pre-war wood and tin character homes to post war wood and tile. The prices then jump again as you hit the first of the brick and tile new build area's and then slowly drop again as you go futher out into the more distance new build area's.
