moven
Thanks for the replies. Really wanted to connect with Telstra, as they are supplying cable & the house is wired for it, but refused on the basis of having no credit history in Oz. Anyone else in the same boat? elsie3
We've obviously bucked the trend, and went with Vividwireless about 12 months ago. No problems, unlimited download, free calls to Aus landlines and UK landlines via VOIP, and good customer service. (Although we haven't had to use that much.) We chose Vividwireless because we didn't want to pay to get a landline connected, and originally weren't planning to stay in this rental for more than the 6 months, but went for a 24 month contract as we could just take it with us. (In Ocean Reef too.)
Gary - UK - Aus
Hi - were in Iluka and went also with vivid wireless to get Broadband and the phone without having to have a landline contract. Pretty good so far, although download speeds not a patch on the uk.

moven
If it is ADSL check what exchange you will be connected to? mullaloe is usually servicing ocean reef which means. Slow connection due to the distance involved

Slow connection due to the distance involved Best to go with Telstra if you can receive cable broadband. Get a WA drivers licence before applying or wait 2-3 months to get a credit history. Went with iinet but 5 months in have dropped them and gone to Telstra for a super fast connection. All depends what you will be doing i.e kids playing on line games etc
