    Kathss56 Have you been able to book a flight to anywhere!? We have 10 day’s left to give Home Affairs our Travel Itinerary to nowhere! And if you do manage to get a flight out, we can’t be guaranteed a flight back in now they have capped the International’s to 500. We were going to go to Singapore, but Transiting is no longer an option because of new restrictions. We have asked Government Departments where it is safe to travel to, and the only advise we’ve been given is when we contacted ‘ Smart Traveller’ and they advised us not to travel!

      Also we are asking can we to stay until NZ opens up to us. Then no quarantine in the way back.  Supposed to be March but I think that might be delayed re new COVID over East   If you just comply with out questioning it they will  let you fly out etc!!!

      We have done that, and also stated that no one will cover you for Travel Insurance either. 

      Yes, I did know about Julian Hill, as we contacted him back in December, and I am following him on Facebook, just really hope something good comes out of it. And saw the Project, which even the Presenters couldn’t believe, and said they will stick with it.

      We have also contacted Annastacia, but was told it was a Home Affairs issue. Also emailed MP Andrew Wallace’s office who was contacting Home Affairs, but yet to hear back. Have just emailed Scott Morrison, and Alex Hawke, but doubt if will get any response. 

      Read that New Zealand will probably be in April now.

      Our Medicals and Police check’s expire 3rd and 4th Feb, so not got much time left. After waiting nearly 5 year’s for our Visa’s, and like you, spent so much money on them, just so stressed and frustrated by it all!

      It’s so awful feeling so stressed with it all. Email them to say can you stay until NZ opens and you will re do yr checks etc., I’m awaiting a new 600 visa but no doubt they will only give me a 3 month one!!!

    Read that MP Julian Hill is introducing a Bill to Parliament to stop Government forcing people to leave Australia and fly back in during Global Pandemic, to get there Visa granted! 🤞🙏

    Thank’s Kitty. Think we would be really worried about returned flight’s getting cancelled, and being stuck in Singapore, for who know’s how long. Did see on ‘The Project’ last night a really good coverage about the situation many of us are in, and how ridiculous it is. Really impressed with MP Julian Hill, he is really fighting our corner. Let’s hope something good comes of it, and Alex Hawke see’s sense and does the right thing.

    I know, then what do you do! Don’t think anyone will be flying anywhere for a while again now. So we will be having to do our Medicals again now in February, and recently had to pay another 2,159 dollars for Visitor’s Visa’s. This really is never ending!

    Many thank’s for all your advice Kitty, we were all ready to book our flight’s for Transiting to Singapore for the 18th January, but after today’s speech from Scott Morrison regarding travelling, the transiting isn’t going to work for we will have to have the Virus check whilst in Singapore before returning, so we will not be able to do this. At a total loss now what to do and so frustrated by it all. I’m sure this has now affected lot’s of other people’s plans!

    It look’s like we are going to have to do the same thing as Transit Passenger’s from Brisbane. Were your Parents able to get any Travel Insurance to cover them, as we can’t find any that will cover us.

    I am a new member on here, and wanted to know if anyone is trying to book flights to Singapore to get there Visa’s granted. We have been waiting since March 2020 to fly anywhere! We have now been told we have 28 days to give them our travel Itinerary, so trying to book Singapore. Does anyone know if you fly from Brisbane, that you are able to fly back into Brisbane? Then obviously have to do your 2 week’s in Quarantine. Also were you able to get any travel insurance, as all the ones we have looked at we can’t get cover for. Any advice appreciated 143 Lodges March 2016 Medicals/Police Check’s Feb 2020 AOS Jan 2020 2nd VAC request March 2020
