    Hi all Waiting Wariors,

AAT has just tweeted on their official page that they are resuming In person hearing from 2nd August. Hopefully you will get wake up call from AAT soon. So be ready for just one final battle.

    Best of luck.

    Totally Agree with you.

we paid lot of tax and now when we are inches away from PR, they Hold our files and dont know when they gonna open? and another fear what will be there new requirement??

most of the businesses on lose and they will take time to recover at least a year.....

and when Immigration ask for updated BAS and L&P statement of course its gonna be negative and thats afraid most....

most of the applications again will be refuse on that basis and again people like us gonna feel pain...

My nomination approved in March 2020, but no correspond from immigration after that....

My 186 nomination with the previous employer was rejected in 2017 as they didn't submit some required documentation and there was no visa application submitted from my end, as i wasn't sure if they would really sponsor me. Hence i said to them to let me know once the nomination is approved so that I can launch 186 visa application with the TRN. During this period i was on 457 visa working for them.

Coming to present- I am working for a new company from the last two years on 482 visa and they are sponsoring my 186 DE. Will the previous employer's nomination refusal has any impact on the current 186 nomination application and subsequent 186 visa application?

    No, it won't effect.

Please update your timeline in signatures.

    Thanks!

We responded in about 3 weeks after the request came, however, they waited till the 28 days (what they set for response time) expired.
As I learnt it from my MA, the visa applications are randomly assigned to case officers by a computer system, but only for one view. Meaning, when you get a CO first they check it and if they had any additional request your application goes back to an internal pool until the set period (28 days) expires, due to legal reasons for you to have the full time to respond, so you can't say "but I still wanted to upload some more docs" (therefore they won't continue on your case while the 28 is pending, although my MA says there are exceptions in rare cases).
Then the computer will reassign your visa application to a different CO (so you won't have the same CO as it used to be in the old times).

But i think, CO won't change.

Whoever asks further documents will check the info you provide.

could u share some information about your case? cause im curious how Home Affair refuse your 1st nomination with reason the company cannot afford in next 2 years.
    Thanks

He said, business is not financially strong to pay me for the next two years. That's it and rejected.

    What's your occupation and timeline?

Is there any migration agent on this forum?what’s happening to visa applicants from  Hospitality sector lot of people are waiting just for a Visa and nomination  has been already approved

    Thanks in advance

    @Marisawright and @Micgeo

I did contact with my MA last week.

She said, she didn't had any hostility grant since Covid issue.

Immigration either not rejecting or not giving approval of hospitality related occupations. They just put on hold.

But she said, hopefully immi will consider all visa applicants who already lodged 186/187 (cause they're already working from years) but not for the new 482 visa.
