    Hi,

    186 TRT (Victoria non regional)

    Nomination applied - 25 March

    visa applied - 22 April

Case officer assigned for nomination (NSW centre) and s56 Requested for further information On June 26 and not submitted yet. Main visa application status is still Received. Some of the information requested were submitted with main visa.
In your experience, will the case officer be same for both nomination and visa application or could/will there be different case officer assigned for visa and nomination? I am overwhelmed both with excitement and worrisome! When can I expect for further action and decision? Thanks

    What's your occupation?

I think it's been about a year since i posted but finally some progress!

We've heard back today from our agent that my partner has passed the character test!!! woohoo.

Hoping to hear back soon but now expecting the hurdle of another health assessment given ours was carried out over a year ago. Think wait times are quite long right now for the medical assessments. But we're almost there after being in this process for over 2 years!!!!!

    What is character test?

Applications for this financial year can't be processed yet because the Federal Government hasn't confirmed the changes to the Skilled Lists yet (normally that's done by July).   The list is being reviewed in light of the rise in unemployment following Covid.    There's no indication when the review will be complete, some are suggesting October.

So, at this stage no one can apply nomination for 491 and 190 visa for all states?

She is best to apply for the registered nurse degree.  I think as you're on a temporary visa you would have to pay international fees which can be expensive.  It may be worth her waiting until you get residency when the fees will be cheaper - unless you're thinking of then using her qualifications for the 190.

Can she do 6 months diploma in nursing then apply 190 visa?

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm new in this forum, i would like to ask my wife is planning to start nursing studies.

I don't know this about nursing.

Can you please guide me, what are the courses durations and fees, and which will be best course for her, she did master in business administration earlier but wants to change her career here.

And later on, we're planning to apply 190, we're on 457 visa but haven't got my residency yet.

So what are the best options for us.

    We live in NSW.

    Thanks in advance.

I think its quite ok finding this type of shared info of visa/nomination grant.. so long we are not discussing about other visa type deliberately/intensionally except 186.

By the by, I think like me many search other  webs to know whether any visa grants are continuing by dept ... this gives ample hope buddy.

@resaurant.manager..  Hope you to continue updating us.

    @psura.. Please accept.

I'm aware that, this forum is only for Employer Sponsorship applications. As we all understand immigration is really very quite these days cause of COVID-19 and we're not hearing much grants of Permanent Residency Visas,  i normally do search other forums/websites to see immigration news, so whatever info/news i got about permanent residency i posted here, it gives us little hope.
