  1. Thanks. We will activate our visa when it save to travel. I understand that QLD and NSW will charge for the quarantine, we're heading to Melbourne. Of course, other states will soon follow.
  2. After waiting for 4.5 years, the Visa finally granted today!! What a relief!!
  3. It's still there. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qdUJtvi43-4Ma76iDQWtT3Dv2KK4HxA1lvQzeAB2MOE/edit#gid=0
  4. Yes, that's true too. Just hope that they will resume the process soon.
  5. Seen in a facebook that another 143 visa has been granted a few days ago. The applicant was offshore and submitted 103 in Sep 2015, moved to 143 in Oct 2016. They may start again, it's the beginning of the financial year.
  6. Wow. What a great news! Will check our mail every day, hope that it will be our turn one day!
  7. Yes, we have paid 2VAC just before they were closing down and now are waiting for our visa to be granted.
  8. Glad to hear that. You are very very close to have your visa now. I wish you everything goes well.
  9. Nothing just yet. Been waiting patiently. Will post if anything comes up.
  10. Congratulations! This is a really good news. Also great to hear that they start granting parent visa again. We've paid 2nd VAC 20/3 and hope to hear good news soon.
  11. We are all stuck here until something good happens!
  12. Do you mean this one? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qdUJtvi43-4Ma76iDQWtT3Dv2KK4HxA1lvQzeAB2MOE/edit#gid=0
  13. We've been waiting for more than 4 years, why not waiting for a little longer hehe. (just been waiting for too long, I guess). Also just miss our granddaughter, she is only 6 months old.
  14. I guess so because you have the right to travel as many times as you want for 5 years then you can apply for Resident Return Visa. It may affect other concerns if you want to count the time you spend in Australia in 5 years' time.
  15. I heard that you will have 1 year to make your first entry. It may vary though.
  16. Heard from the news that "Morrison also revealed that net overseas migration is down 30% and is expected to fall by 80% in 2020-21, both compared with 2018-19, in a sign the economic contraction from Covid-19 will last much longer than restrictions to social life. Treasury officials and the Reserve Bank both estimate that unemployment is set to top 10%." (source: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/01/morrison-says-early-mark-of-eased-restrictions-depends-on-uptake-of-covidsafe-tracing-app). Would this have negative effect on parent visa? Anyone?
  17. In general, an assurer'll get a call from centrelink, then an email of invitation to deposit the bond. In some cases, there will not be any interview from centrelink but you'll receive the email.
  18. I think you may assure a maximum of two adults at any one time. You may need another assurer.
  19. Thank you. Will also wait for advice from PVC, if any, when visa granted.
  20. Hi Alan, With travel restrictions just right now, would newly granted 143 visa holders be entitled to travel for validation?
  21. That's really true. I just hope that they will allow applicants living onshore to remain in Australia till the visa granted and auto-activate in the country.
