  1. Hi everyone! just wanted to share my time line: ACT 14.02.20 applied for citizenship 28.09.20 info about test date 07.10.20 test (approved same day) 16.11.20 info about ceremony 08.12.20 ceremony! Good luck everyone !
  2. you didn't have to do that. Expired passport is also OK
  3. they probably count it from the dependant visa as your previous one was canceled
  4. wow, this is crazy fast! I applied Feb 2020 and still nothing.
  5. Hi everyone! Does anyone know when the tests will be resumed? Do they have online option for test? I just applied for citizenship in Feb, 2020 and shortly after coronavirus hit , so my next step would be test invitation though I have ni idea how long will that take until we can participate in test.
  6. Australia DOESN'T give citizenships by birth, you can only be Australian when one of your parents is Australian...or by applying for citizenship.
  7. Hi! I'll be applying for citizenship next week in ACT, does anyone know what is general processing time in ACT ? i know it all depends on the waiting time from one step to another but if anyone in this forum would like to share their experience in ACT I'd really appreciate that:) Thank you
  8. back log is nearly 200.000 !!! https://www.sbs.com.au/news/lives-are-on-hold-government-pressured-to-address-citizenship-backlog
  9. apply independently? what kind of visa are you thinking? the new 494 that comes in effect in Nov 2019?
  10. my file was opened after 18 mths and CO asked for additional docs and said i have 2 weeks to submit them, if i won't make it on time CO said i will have to repeat my medicals.
  11. you serious? i submitted my ielts literally a month before expiring, got visa 18mths later so it was clearly expired by the time CO opened the case, no issues. i asked my MA about it and he said it need to be valid at the time of application
  12. nomination doesn't show on your immi account. it is sent to the MA only
  13. there is absolutely no rule to that. i'm in childcare and it took me 18 months, my friend 17, and other 2 friends 22 and 19 months, also childcare
  14. you have to have diploma in childcare and be on room leader or director position and have 3 years fulltime relevant experience. check what else with some agent as rules has changed March 2018 and now is bit more difficult than before
  15. Exactly, MAs know what they're doing. My MA didn't attach asked docs until i provided all needed (3 of them) I was sending docs one by one as soon as I obtained them, to my MA. then when he received them all, he attached them at once, I got visa next day. yup same, team leader in childcare.
  16. my friend got it same day he uploaded requested docs, i got it day after i uploaded requested docs
  17. yes it will be with your agent, It will not 'harm' your application as long as you just observe it. Do not do anything else, don't attach documents yourself as if you start playing with it you can actually jeopardize your application.
  18. i would not suggest playing with your application. importing and observing OK but anything else than that leave it to your MA
  19. yup, it just copies another version for you. doesn't "steal" from other account
  20. what do you mean "driving convictions" did you go to jail for driving ??
  21. they may ask for evidence of current occupation and in that letter the owner/manager/director needs to specify the following: that the position is available for next 2 years, your duties, position etc. Even thou I submitted the full time contract without ending date, the OC still requested that letter.
  22. yes, you're not taking anything from other account, they just copy your application into your account.
  23. YAY!! Didn't get golden email as I checked my immi account and saw FINALISED. Timeline Aug 2017 rcb+nom+visa applied Nov 2017 rcb approved 15 Jan 2019 nomination appoved 29 Jan 2019 doc requested (AFP, reference letter from work) 12 Feb 2019 docs submitted 13 Feb 2019 PR granted ACT, Childcare
