  1. Status of Further assessment meant that they are still assessing your case after the first initial assessment. There is no standard time that is indicated for CO to look into your case. It really depends on each case that are they are handling.
  2. I have got my grant yesterday. The first entry is by 25 Sep 2020.
  3. CO contacted today, requesting for me (the secondary applicant of my husband's) to provide certificate, transcripts and letter from education provider of education all carried out in English language.
  4. Oh.. now that I remember my agent said that before. So that's why my husband and I wanted to move to Australia at our soonest the moment we get the grant.
  5. I believe its the date of grant, but I am not sure. It might also be the date of first landing...
  6. Is it under this site that you are refering to:- https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-provisional-489
  7. It is currently stating "There are no standard processing times available for this pathway." for 489 visa. but yeah, 190 is at 10-15 months processing time.
  8. How do you know 489 visa is 10-15 months? I thought there is no indication at the moment?
  9. I have managed myself for past 20 days. But today it hit 180 days, the stress also hit my brain. Now I need to keep myself busy too! ><
  10. Now at my 180 days waiting, starting to panic already. How's everyone coping?
  11. Thanks for the advice. I think I might not be shipping so much items, don't think I will be using a shipper.
  12. Just hope that people who are interested about 491 visa can attract more like-minded ones. This way, the information gathered would be more useful for those that needs it. For example, I did the same by creating a new thread regarding shipping from Singapore on another separate topic under the Shipping category instead.
  13. Firstly, I do not understand why you need to emphasize that the new visa is definitely related to visa 489. We had never denied their relation. All I was mentioning is that it’s best to create a separate thread for the question posted regarding 491 visas. Anyway, if you have goose bumps about the new change, you should seek a professional. We all did approach our migration agent whenever we have queries. This is how having a migration agent is helpful. Secondly, I do not understand in which form have me or anyone inferred that seeking help or expressing thoughts is committing a mistake. As far as I know, we only reiterated about staying on the topic for this thread. Lastly, I cannot comprehend the intention to downplay yourselves when serving an apology. All I was asking is to be considerate to yourselves and others. And if you don’t understand how to, I have already given the suggestion; open a new thread for a new topic. There is already more than enough in everyone's plate to worry about and plan for the Big Move. So, let's stay on the topic and move on. It will be highly appreciated to have the forum thread clean from all of these unnecessary negative emotions.
  14. To begin with, Subclass 491 is announced to be introduced from 16th November 2019. As of current, it does not exist. Few months down the road, any changes can still happen. We are not the government. We won’t know what they have in mind for that new visa. Hence, everything that is discussed or talked about is just pure speculation. So, in my opinion, there is no point of discussing the requirement imposed for this new visa. Secondly, this forum thread as mentioned in the subject and also from @JetBlast, it is for “High Points for 489/190 - South Australia.” Hence, to prevent confusion for people who have came to this thread for this specific topic, I would suggest it’s best to create a separate thread for the question posted regarding 491 visas if this was something concerning. This will also not just prevent confusion but attract like-minded people who are interested in 491 visas as well. Which is why there is segregation of topics in the forum to allow like-minded people to easily search for the topic that they are looking for. Lastly, most of the people here are usually seeking for a company or some comfort/support from the same group of people with the same objective/interest while we all wait for that nerve-wracking result. So, information that are relayed here might not be accurate as we are not professional. It would be best that you seek for a professional (such as a migration agent) that can really help you in your case. If applicants like us, who are not immigration officers or migration agents, can actually provide professional advices, then there will be no reason why the professionals are doing this for a living. So please be considerate, help yourselves and others too. And also, thank you for everyone who had spared your precious time reading through my lengthy thread.
  15. you can just provide your details and request to add in.
  16. Thanks for the help. I have contacted them for the quotes.
  17. Hi, I would like to check if there is anyone here residing in Singapore currently and also doing the big move to Australia? If there is, I would appreciate some help to provide some recommendation for shipping services. Thanks.
  18. I believe it would be best that you ask a professional of the list of queries you had. We are just a bunch of visa applicants only (and some of us rely on our MA for assistance).
  19. @Renault, no worries. I think you must be really concerned about the processing stage for the visa right now.
  20. Agree in your point that if ones satisfied 2 or 3 years shouldn't matter. But not being on pr for one more year means you miss on benefits of Pr. This includes moving for other states for job, medilink, buying a property, tax rebates to name a few.i hope Adelaide suits us all and we stay there for long for the benefits of state and us. However at the same time getting pr sooner is something one always wishes for. People who are in the 489 visa, obviously will be concerned of the changes towards the extended period to stay under provisional visa. It is in the interest to all, if not most to eventually attaining a PR after moving towards to 887 visa. Like @Renaultsaid, the longer you stayed in provisional visa, you are missing all the benefits you can get from as a PR. Such as medicare which is only applicable to certain nationality. Others like myself would have to obtain a OVHC on top of the visa for the duration that I hold a 489 visa. I also heard before that they might not consider the time you spent under provisional visa to count into the time for qualifying in obtaining citizenship. So if that's the case, the longer you stay under provisional visa, the more time you had to spent to accumulate after you switched to PR to get citizenship.
  21. One of the section is talking about the changes implementing in Nov 2019 which is 8 months away from now. So anything that is applying are still under the old path way. Isn't it? https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/what-we-do/regional-migration/news/new-regional-visas New Regional Visas The new skilled regional provisional visas will be for skilled migrants, and dependent family members, who want to live and work in Australia. There will be two new skilled regional provisional visas introduced in November 2019: Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa: for people sponsored by an employer in regional Australia. Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa: for people who are nominated by a State or Territory government or sponsored by an eligible family member to live and work in regional Australia. Holders of the new skilled regional provisional visas will need to live and work in regional Australia. Visas will be granted with a validity period of up to five years. Holders of the new skilled regional provisional visas will be able to apply for a Permanent Residence visa. The Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa will commence in November 2022. Importantly, to be eligible for permanent residence, holders of the new skilled regional provisional visas will need to demonstrate they have lived and worked in regional Australia while holding one of the new Skilled Regional Provisional visa.
