  1. It's been 27 days for me and nothing yet. Also took a risk and am in Australia on tourist visa. It should come within the timescales of my tourist visa but financially speaking and for the sake of my sanity id like to be working again!
  2. My agent said as much to me today. That there is no guarantee whatsoever they'll look at it anytime soon just because further info requested and to be prepared to wait the new published timescales of 12-17 months. I'm trying to put it out of my head again now like I did before and just focus on Xmas and new year
  3. *sigh* another week another batch of approvals to those who applied after us. I'm very happy for y'all but also insanely jealous!! Here's to next week. C'mon immi. You know you want us April guys off your books before December hits
  4. Welcome. How awful to have a refusal. I'm a lawyer but used a migration agent as the possibility of a technical mistake freaked me out.
  5. Feeling the same way laf. All I had to update was where i had visited. So paranoid that my agent hasn't uploaded it properly or something Or I changed a date or something
  6. I know!! So happy for those getting visas but goodness me makes my April application sad! Haha. I take heart that they are clearly racing through and will circle back to ours soon
  7. Hahaha made me laugh a lot. There are definitely easier ways!!! I agree since having the request for further info I've been much more consumed by it all which is why I need a step back now. How interesting about the start/end of the month thing. I guess if they have targets to meet that would make sense. But agreed,,,, would love to be the exception that proves the rule
  8. So you gorgeous people It is Sunday night in Oz and am about to start my next week of worrying and waiting and wondering. Hands up who thinks this week may be the week for them In my mind I've decided to try and not think about it until December as that's when the 28 days given to me to respond to the request for further info is up and in my mind the case worker has just set a review at the end of those 28 days...... I will of course still wake up every morning and turn first to my emails to see if there is any news
  9. My request was for addresses and holidays past 10 years. I think because my address is now Australia so wanted my holiday list updated. Submitted 7 days ok
  10. I'm.so stressed about it. I can't even log in as all through an agent and I don't want to harass them. Seeing Ben's situation has made me super paranoid. I can't get my mind off waiting for this visa. I hate my life being in the hands of someone in this way.
  11. Thanks for this .... We only had 7 days so who knows .... hopefully not too long for any of us still waiting Well three of us waiting with the further info provided! I don't know if that's better than hearing nothing at all or not! Jon anything yet???
  12. My agent, rather depressingly, told me that it still may take the published timescales to get a final decision even though further information requested but I think that was backside covering. They ask you to provide the info within 28 days so they must come back and review them as if people haven't provided the info in that time they would reject them. I've done a bit of googling around and one migration agent advises it usually takes another 2 weeks from providing the info because you go back into their "awaiting further info" pile and they review them periodically. So fingers crossed we won't be waiting too long!
  13. Hi. We had some periods apart. I just uploaded some screen shots of our whatsapp communications that were affectionate saying missed each other etc. Just a few sent, not lots. My agent always tells me it is about quality not quantity. Hope that helps.
  14. So who is still waiting?! Katie Bobbles you got asked the same as me. Where been on last 10 years and residential addresses. Even though it was on form. I'm now panicked I missed something.... My husband had bokdiays without me but they were stag dos and a family catch up I had to miss because of no annual leave. Hope that's not messing us up. Jon I'm assuming no news for you either? It's so hard. Its reassuring others are getting theirs through but has made me so much more anxious. Well guess we just have to hang on in there. Bit of a pointless post but there we go!
  15. Ah my hubby applied on basis of ancestry rather than being married to me so that may have been why I thought that. That's good to know!
  16. Hi Gem I would say definitely get citizenship. My husband did it online in Jan 2018 and it took about a month. It was new online then so may have slowed down. The reason is that with Permanent Leave I believe if you leave the country for more than 5 years it can lapse? I'm not 100% certain but that is a concern as I remember us looking into it and seeing my hubby would then need a spousal visa. In any event immigration is always a moveable feast and they change the rules regularly so the safest option is to have citizenship. You have to be intending to remain in UK when you apply for citizenship though so I'd do it before you take any steps to actually leave!
  17. I asked my agent for an update and they replied with a request for further info which appeared that day. However, they were a bit brusque when chasing them to upload the further information, but credit to them they have done it and it was because they wanted to carefully check it which is what they are there for. Your agent sounds a bit rude to be honest!
  18. Hi. I chose visiting family. I attached a statement making it clear I was on maternity leave from work anyway so if I'm at home waiting for my visa I'd rather be waiting in Australia whilst visiting family then waiting in UK alone. Hope that helps!
  19. I've been asked for further info guys. Just to confirm countries visited past 10 years. I've done that already but guess it's because my address has changed to Australia so they want it updated. I'm hopeful I'll be approved next week now!!
  20. Hi All We are looking to buy in Melbourne in the New Year and before doing so I'd want to research the local primary schools and check what catchment area the postcode would be in. Can anyone let me know if there is a central body logging this information? Or is by local authority websites? Or just general googling each primary school? We are looking in several areas so it could took a while if there isn't a central system Thank you
