  1. You will get an email. When did you lodge your application?
  2. Hi PCP, What day in July 2018 was your application lodged? We lodged ours 18th July 2018 but haven’t heard anything yet.
  3. It’s nice to know they are checking applications submitted July 18 and giving a queue date. I realise there is still a long, long way to go. Just hoping we’ve dotted all our I’s and crossed all out T’s.
  4. Our application date is 18/07/2018 so, hopefully, may be given a queue date soon. Little things.......
  5. That’s great news. Congratulations! So lucky you didn’t get bumped off your flight. I bet you can’t quite believe you’ve done it!
  6. I work for DWP and Attendance Allowance is a completely different benefit to State Pension but the payments can be combined, so they are made as one payment. Newer claims tend to be paid separately though.
  7. Hi, you must quarantine in the city you arrive in for 14 days, even if you plan to travel elsewhere in Australia.
  8. That’s great news. Processing is moving - slowly!
  9. I've just checked the calculator. It's not showing my lodgement date yet but if I put in 18 June 2018 there are 34770 in the queue. Another 6 years wait.
  10. Hi, The thread is current and has great information, including Covid-19 discussions.
  11. Thanks so much for your time and effort producing this list. I was getting excited when the queue seemed to be moving quickly recently . Now looking at the queue ahead of us it looks like another 5 1/2 years. My husband and I will continue to look forward to our annual trips to WA and keep dreaming we will be there permanently in a few years.
  12. Hi, They acknowledged our 143 application early Aug 18 which was a couple of weeks after they received it. The acknowledgement was by email. .
  13. My son is a Air conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic in WA. He applied for a partner visa 4 years ago rather than a skilled visa which was straightforward. He then went to TAFE (college) in Perth to get his skills assessed. From that assessment he ended up doing a fast track level 4 qualification on day release over 12 months while working under supervision for an employer. (Not much supervision)! He then got his Level 4 certificate and his restricted electrical licence. Both are needed to get your Refrigeration & Air Conditioning licence in WA. He did have C&G level 2 and NVQs from the UK but they counted for nothing.
  14. Hi Linda, Are the queue figures only provided yearly? It would be really interesting to know the current figure.
  15. Thanks for those figures. They are awful! Especially for us newbies to the waiting room!!
  16. Hi Linda, 50,000 is a massive amount on the wait list. Where did you find this figure?
  17. Hi, The definition of the Family Unit is limited to only partners and dependent children of the main applicant. Hope that helps.
  18. The application was posted and it was received at PVC on 18 July 18. They didn't acknowledge it until 7 August 18.
  19. Wow! That's not pleasant reading. If there's 50k in the queue and they're only granting 6218 a year - that's 8 years. (Not counting drop outs). I wish I'd found Pomsinoz earlier with all this useful information. We definitely would have applied much earlier.
  20. Does anyone know how many are in the 143 queue and how many applications they process each year? Thanks
  21. Hi Vika, I can't answer anymore of your queries but I have just got an email saying my 143 Visa application has been received. I'm now expecting a very long wait!
  22. Hi Tulip1, I've got a reply back from PVC. They've said they are currently registering applications received up to 28 June 2018. I bet you are glad you put your application in when you did. We really regret not doing it much earlier. Thanks for taking time to reply.
  23. Thanks Tulip1. When did you apply? I gather it was before you had to pay in advance and then get your paper application in within 30 days. I sent the application to our son in Perth for him to add the sponsorship form. He then sent it tracked to Parent Visa Centre (no delivery by hand allowed). I know it's only two days since it was delivered but I'm concerned it's nearly the 30 day limit. The payment on the ImmiAccount was by PayPal and I did get a receipt but, obviously, they have nothing to link that payment with. I just wondered if other Pomsinoz members have had experience with this advance payment system and how the acknowledgement is received. Any help will be gratefully received!
  24. I've noticed that previously the Contributory Parent visa was lodged before 1st VAC was paid. It's now done in advance. I sent payment on the ImmiAccount on 26 June. The application has to be received within 30 days. The application was delivered to the PVC in WA yesterday. I'm concerned that the 30 days is fast approaching. How do you normally get an acknowledgment? Is it via email or the ImmiAccount? I also notice on member's signatures that the acknowledgment was received some weeks after the application was received. Thanks.
