    Hello everyone,

I applied DE as a cook in June 2017. I’m still waiting for nomination and visa. Actually i had brain surgery to remove tumor from my head. As I’m on medication since then and constantly having blood tests,MRI etc. i have interim Medicare which covered all expenses. They might do another operation in future, this might cost them huge cost. And i haven’t done medical yet, but these things are now on  records. Will it effect my visa application?

It might be but though i am not 100% sure as it is a burden on tax payers. If it is estimated over the budget i am afraid i might influence your visa application decision. Yearly $8000 in 5 years time=$40000 is a budget for every australian. Now if your medical cost goes beyond this limit then it should not be any problem. But you need an assessment report from your specialist how it costs approximately. And you need to submit this report to MOC ( Medical officer of commonwealth) once your medical examination done and asking further assessment from BVMS as a part of medical assessment.

My advice is to go through your medical examination now as it will take 4-6 months even more to complete this process and its frustrating.

Don’t be too worried at this stage. Hope you overcome your current medical condition.

    Good luck bro !

    Hey guys,

I’ve applied for 187 NSW on February 28th 2018. Currently I’m offshore. My RCB was approved about 3 months ago and since then no progress. Just wondering how long usually it takes to be done with rest of the process if everything goes well.

your experience and input is much appreciated.

    regards

You landed in wrong group mate. Guess no info are to be provided as we are Team 186

Jan 2018 TRT Nomination and Visa Application.

    Nomination approved yesterday.

Visa now further assessment. CO asked for documents and functional English for the partner, all requested documents submitted yesterday and now waiting for VAC2. No idea when I will be contacted by the CO again.

It will take time for sure. MY nomi was approved on 6 july and still waiting for visa granting. Once update to further assessment, CO put the file aside for a while. I tell you this waiting game will be gutted. I feel so frastrated since my nomi was approved. Passing stressful time.

But good news is you are 99.99% sure your visa will come soon.

Good luck to you mate !

Guys as we all are in the same boat thought to ask and request if you share your feedback on "why did you apply for PR". Please share your reasons as this is just to keep our minds occupied and make us focus on our goal, your reason can be anything (stability, peace of mind, buying a car or house, better education for kids etc...) so if possible share so can we all can connect.

My reason - I want to buy a house and settle down in QLD.

    Very good question.

    Mine:

Yes i applied PR because of better and quality life in australia. Better future for my kids including education, job and welfare when older aged.

    My timeline listed below:

    Nomination and visa application 10/10/2016

Immi officer called 15/08/2018 (This officer spoken with our HR first, then she also talked to me and asked questions )

Company structure provided ( Officer asked our HR to provide this info during the call ) 17/08/2018

    Marketing coordinator  TRT  HR  3

My IMMI account’s latest status : “Received”

    23 months already...?

OMG ! No idea what’s going on. How come is this possible !

  6. Hi guys,

Can anyone bring smile back to my face by telling me how long it would take to finalise the visa grant after all cleared including nomination, medical, afp, pcc? It’s frastrating me... can’t sleep well. Not feeling as well, checking immi account every hour but it says further assessment. I am sick of it.

I pray to God for everyone’s wellbeing who’s been through this hardest part of life.

    Thanks guys.

    Hi,

I hope this time your visa will be approved.

What do you mean by being released from work obligations.

As far as I know there is an expectation from immigration to stay with your sponsoring employer for at least 1 year to comply with genuine effort condition under 186 visa. Whereas under subclass 187 this time amounts to 2 years.

Getting PR does not mean you are released from your employer.

Does anybody have experience about this under 186 visa?

For 186, after the grant visa you are allowed to leave the workplace if your employer’s curcumstances changed such as shut down. And you proved that you had intension to continue even after visa grant. These are all intension though not legal requirements for 186.

For 187 is literally different. Here after your visa grant you have to continue next 2 years for the same employer.

Do not mix with 186 with 187 visa condition please.

You can understand that even as relocating to the regional areas does not guarantee a sponsorship and sponsorship is very difficult. I also disagree that people moved to regional just to get visa. Every visa has a condition and applicants are doing their best to meet those requirements. Some one who applied for visa 190 without knowledge of where he or she is heading to, will be considered quickly while you who is already on the ground, have similar qualification and experience will be there welcoming them as PR holders.

You are right. But what i feel about this sponsorship is a bull shit process or measurement. Govt should put priority to those who already here as you mention already. Not like who has hightest overseas degree granting them PR. It should not be happened. There are millions of doctors and Engi and scientist around the world, seems like government needs them all in. Thats why their immi policy has been put in place but not like people who integrated to aus already. Sad feeling for us who onshores for a long times

but rather they prefers to grant visa quick to those who have not been here for the first time, no job at hand and chances of govt support on arrival. Australians get sense.

I am not  agreed on this statement. Sorry mate ! There is no welfare for newly arrived migrants for the first 12 months. They can not access into centrelink over the period. Immigration department gets mixed experience with the people who come to regional area just to get a PR rather genuien needs. Everyone know that including you. I know someone who has no experience, no study in aus, no work experience in aus but applied for 187 DE just having an overseas degree, in fact he went through a negociation with the employer and eventually got rejection. PR of Australia is not a cheap thing. It’s a best country in the world. I also understand this is not always the case. We find some real applicant around.

Hi guys , my husband apply 186 de and occupation is cook in April 2017. He is onshore but my dough ter and me in India and we are offshore , if we want to come Australia it effect our file or not plz answer my question.

Is your husband on any other visa or bridging visa? If he is on bridging visa, i am afraid you can’t get in with a bridging visa. You can come in with visitor visa but i guess it will create problem. You should have come in before he lodge the 186. Though i am not sure you are still allowed to get a visa as you have already applied permanant residency which is under process. Better to talk any agent

Hey I am also getting same thoughts. Its been 10 months since I last submitted the requested docs and I am still waiting for them to give me a genuine reason for not looking at my file again. Initially when i called they said files will be processed after Christmas as so many CO are on holidays then they said waiting for the first available officer to open your file....then they said looks like some work was done on your file last month and also last week.... then they said your case has been referred to Team B from Team A.... then they said we are waiting on some information on your file..... then a rude lady said don’t call us again and again we can’t tell you anything unless your nomination is approved, if anything needed we will contact you....then they said please write an email to ##### email asking about your application.....then the person replied in email that delay in your application could be because of various factors
    1. Didn’t submit the full application ( I am thinking that if they still need anything else then they could let us know as they asked for docs before too)
    2. Depends on processing criteria LR or HR, no of applicants and all ( emoji848.pngemoji848.pngemoji848.png I recently saw a PR grant for no. Of applicants 6, if it’s something to do with no of applicants and LR HR then they should show processing times based on these factors....then we would know exactly how long does it take to check docs for 4people where 2 kids and born here)
    3. Time to obtain health clearance ( I can see clearly on my file it says health assessment successful no further action required)
    4. Police clearance check( submitted police clearance twice and it was all clear with not a single extra word of any offence on it)
Wonder why they are playing with our lives. They make people wait for 2 yrs to reply with no. It really hurts when we see any refusal here that too after waiting for 18months to 2yrs.
But we won’t break easily. The best thing I have done now that I have pushed this visa thing at the very back of my mind. But yes it does come up now and then and also with the things you want to do or get and can get it too but the only reason you can’t get it at the moment is because you are not permanent resident of Australia. Then that anxiety and depression comes in ... but again we get above it all and start living without tension.
My aim to tell you this all is then don’t think about it and live your life to fullest. Don’t wait every minute. I have done that and it drags you to anxiety and depression. Just enjoy your life in days.

That’s what my wife saying, forget about the grant, let’s do socialism, invite friends to home, get invited, hang around with them, it might help to forget the pain for a while. But the problem is few friends asking about my visa, and bring pain back to me all over again.

(stress stress !!! Go away come again another day, little kaz wants to play, stress stress goooo away !!! )

    Good luck bro !

Where is my CO gone? Is he playing hide n seek with me, few days ago he seems rush on my file requesting documents with the timeframe. once docs submitted he is literally disappeared. Phone ringing, no one answering, voice message answeing, no one calling back, text messaging nothing replying, knocking his back door, no response, what happened to him? Is he alive?

Or gone to holiday? Is he coming back to my file?

(These immaginations coming through over gut feeling)

Just found this page and feel it might be a bit of a life saver!! I'm going mad waiting for this visa to come through - anyone else's anxiety through the roof??

Have been with my employer for 3.5 years, I've been offered 2 internal promotions into partner business that I have had to turn down at the advice of my MA. My current employer does not treat me well (every day is a struggle) and I need out ASAP. Feel like throwing in the towel and heading back to the UK but maybe the visa is just around the corner and I've invested so much time and money!?! I cant stand the waiting and i'm only at 8 months ARGH.

    Someone mind updating the spreadsheet?

    Occupation: Project & Events Coordinator
    State: VIC
    Birth Country: UK
    Stream: ENS TRT
    Number of applicants: 2
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination applied:  18th January 2018
    Current Status: Received

I am in the same situation. My boss bullying me everyday and telling myself few more days, just few more days. Pushing myself keep going. Nothing we can do until visa comes through. A big test in our life. Patience is a key here to overcome.

    Hi Guys,

I am new to the group and below are my timeline, I've added the same into spreadsheet as well.

I've submitted all the documents (Police verification, ACS & Medical) while visa & nomination filing and as Medical is about to expire on 01-Nov-18 and if my application is not picked by then, so do I need to submit new Medical report ?

    Occupation: Software Engineer
    Country: HR
    Stream: DE
    Number of applicants: 2
Visa and Nomination applied 18 Jan 2018 (through migration agent)
    Status: Received

Hi, Why did you get medical done before the visa application? Was there any particular reason for that?

Could be an idea for everyone to include their timeline onto their profile signature.

Saw a few posters already have it and think its very helpful. I have just added mine (See below).

Will mean no one will need to ask questions like :What stream, when did you apply etc".

To update Signature you select your Username at the top right, and select Account Settings. On the Left there is a Signatures Tab.

    Great idea. Done mate.

Don't think I've posted up my Timeline yet, so here it is:

    Occupation: ICT Customer Support Officer
    State: WA, Perth
    Birth Country: UK
    Stream: ENS TRT
    Number of applicants: 2
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination applied:  March 2018
    Current Status: Received

So I've been waiting for 6 months so far. That time has flew in to be honest....feels like I only lodged the visa yesterday. My ideal target is to hopefully have something back before Christmas but I know that's out of my control.

    Good luck everyone ?

Who knows you might get response next month. CO is a strange character who rains without cloud.
