All 3 of my children were late with talking and all 3 turned out perfectly normal. Some children are late starters. I’m surprised it was even referred with your child being such a young age. Good luck for the 1st August, please let us know how you go.

Thank you dear. I will keep posting my update until solved. May be someone finds it useful.

Parents don't always realise if their child has a bit of a delay in their language development because they know them so well and they are used to the way their child speaks. I'm wondering if your son goes to nursery school, and if so, what they make of it? I'd be checking his hearing as well. Was he intimidated by the unfamiliar situation or did he respond in his usual way? Try not to worry too much, many kids have language delays of one kind and another and they can usually be sorted out with a bit of extra help.

    Hi Fisher 1,

I went to see a clinical psycologist about my son’s issue. With the initial assessment he understood that it is because of language delay. Also genetical matter exist as me also started talking after 4 as my mom said to me.

So 1 Auguest i will recieve the final report from the clinical psycologist. In the mean time we have been training my son and he is getting better and better. My point of view is we did not pay enough attention to our child which leads to under development. It was my fault in deed.

    Now finger cross for 1Auguest.

    God help me !

It’s realy a sad story. I am speechless and have no words left for you.

I'm depressed reading the miserable waiting stories ?  Praying the limbo ends for everyone.

I have a question.  I had made plans thinking I will get my PR by end of the year but now looks like its going to take time.  May I know if getting transfer (same position/same ABN) to another state with the same company will affect my visa outcome in any way.  I really have to move state by the end of the year.  Please advice.  Thank you in advance.

“NO” no problem at all if as long as company ABN, name, position and structure remain same. And you have to update to immi the changes of circumstances including organisational chart. Should not be any problem

    Good luck !

There's a condition for 457 (not sure about new 482) you have to start work within 6 months. They count from the date you start working with the employer (after the visa is granted).

    So what's wrong?

What i mean is the immigration counts from the date your visa is granted > start working with employers for 2 years (within 6 months) > count from the date you're actually start working with the employer (receive the payslips, group certificate etc as the proof) > 186 TRT

    Wrong !

after the visa granted, when you commence your work, that is your first day of 2 years. I mean first pay slip period regardless the day your visa was granted.

Hi guys please i need some advice.

my visa was granted mid of august 2016 and start working and getting pay on  full time tax on 5 september 2016 with first company till end of november and then on december my cafe was sold to another new company, after that i wasn't getting pay at all because waiting for my nomination..
on 12th of february 2017 my new nomination is approved and then on 12th february 2017 too i start getting pay from new company.
    so how is it going?

when i would be eligible to apply 186 TRT.

    please some advise.

I guess you are on 457 visa. However it is said you have to finish 2 years working on your current employer and will be eligible to apply 186 TRT. So 12/02/2017 - 12/02/2019 will complete your 2 years and then you are eligible. So basically you are loosing(wasting) 5 months, that’s ok.

And remember you have to continue working here until you are granted the visa.

    hope it helps

You're really not going to know until you have the assessments done.  As Fisher1 has said, parents often dont realise that a child has a cognitive impairment because they grow with them and get used to what they say and do and you are probably helping him a lot.

The assessment will be quite objective and will gauge your son against other children of the same age and the skills they should have achieved by that age.  Sometimes the delay may be remedied by intervention from special ed, therapists etc but sometimes the "delay" just continues and the child doesnt make progress at the same rate as other children. This will all be discussed with you at assessment.

The extent of any impairment and the need for intervention will only be revealed once you've had the assessments and, depending on the outcome, at that point you would be wise to discuss the matter with one of the agents who specialise in visas for people with medical conditions.  They will be able to tell you if your son's development is likely to cause concern with respect to the granting of a visa. The agents who are usually recommended are George Lombard, Peter Bollard and Richard Gregan - you can google them.  The issue will be what the specialist finds by way of need for intervention.  Immigration make judgments based on how much any intervention is likely to cost the Australian tax payer - if it is over a particular threshold then visas are declined.

For kids, there is a bit of a catch 22 situation - if a child gets a visa, the chances are that they will not be eligible for any disability support in schools.  Kids who qualify for disability support aren't likely to get visas because it is an expensive supplement to mainstream schooling.

Good information. Thank you for spending your time to make a conment on it.

Tomorrow see the doctor, lets see what happens. Hope everything would be ok and normal

    Regards,

yes my son going to 3 yrs kinda. He is doing good at school actully. He likes to be there. He responses in a way as he does to us at home. Teacher has no issue about him. My mom said to me that i even started my speak after 4. My brother as well. All after 4. I guess it could be genetical connection or consistency.

  10. Hi Friends,

As requested by immi we had gone through medical and me and my wife’s medical were cleared but my son’s has been deferred due to be further assessment. We received a reference letter from BVMS that i have to see a specialist who is a Paediatrics or clinical psycologist assesseing child’s “Cognitive development”. My son is 3 and half years old. The main issue they found is that my son is not speaking in full sentence while he is talking but in a broken words he responses. He is also able to understand the command, act and eye contact and emotions etc.

as a parents we don’t feel having any problem at all.

Now my question is if we go through the nominated specialist, would we be able to over come the visa situation? Or will be hang around ? What could be the outcome?

    please help !

Hi friends just want to know once your nomination is approved.

then how many % chances are left of visa application to get approved

    thanks

I think it depends on partner’s (if any) english language score and AFP, pcc and obviously Medical exam has to be 100% perfectly cleared.

i applied for 186 visa back in 22nd feb 2017,last documents were requested in October,i m a registered nurse, never heard again from immigration, now 17 months of agony.

i dont find my lawyer really active to follow my case,i have been calling DIMIA my self and all that i get is the case officer is working on my file, really frustrating.

    overly stressed

Did you apply through DE or TRT?

Hi, I don't think that not being able to speak in full sentence and not being toilet trained at 3.5 years alone can be an issue.  There are other factors a developmental specialist will look into before deciding if its an issue.  For example, can the child follow simple direction, does he/she respond when others call spoken too etc (just to mention a few) .

Huge informative comments: i feel like i have been rescued by this info. Feeling relief.

Yes, my son responses to everyone and follow the directiom and even welcoming and greeing others as well.

Thank you so much dear: Good on you.

    Cheers !

Also they don’t refuse visa on medical grounds until his health is going to effect others or it’s rare diseas gonna cost healthcare a lot of money. In that case you still have right to appeal

Thank you brother. A very logical word. you boosted my confidence up a bit. Feeling good now. Thanks

Sorry to hear about that, my daughter is 3 & son is 6 we didn’t had any issue. Try different medical examiners Canberra or overseas. But I don’t think 3yr old doesn’t speak is a big issue. I have friend his son doesn’t speak at all, he is 5 but he got PR. But he got his PR first than he he applied for family. If you applied together then all have to pass all the checks at the same time. Wish you luck bro

Thanks a lot Muhammad bhai. Valuable information provided. Good on you

    Congrates ! Mate

    Dear Muhammad,

can you share your experience about your child medical examination. You must have children. Did you have any issue regarding your child ?. My son has issue with speaking language in full sentence and toilet training etc. His age is only 3and half. Eventually it seems like immigration medical officer makes it an issue. Now they did not ask any further documents yet but they will ask soon as it appears in my immi account inbox about health examination.

Did they ask you anything like this, please share.

or anyone here in this forum has similiar experience like this. Please share.

    Thanks
