    Hello all,

From what I make out from this thread, tentative waiting time for invitation is as follows:
    a) Usually within 9-10 months for Sydney applicants
    b) Usually within 6 months for all other regions
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there someone who applied before 30th June 2019(other than Sydney) and before 31st March 2019(Sydney) and still hasn't been invited for the test?

What i understand is the smallest city invites for the test quickly rather than big city like sydney. Sydney is the biggest city in australia and no doubt why applicants receive invitation late due to have large amounts of application. I guess Perth residents receive too quick due to low or medium volume of applications.

    Hello friends,

I just noticed that I haven't received an Acknowledgement  letter or Email from Immigration department after I lodged my citizenship application online. but the status online shows 'RECEIVED'. should I be concerned or it's just normal.

I lodged my Citizenship application online in April of 2019. not received any news yet since then.

    thanks guys for any clue.

It’s really a long wait for you, i haven’t heard from anyone have been waiting for such long wait to receive nothing yet. Did you attach all documents required at the time of application? Did you check the action required section?

can you update your timeline properly.

Hope you will be sent appointment soon.

  3. Dear Friends,

What identity documents need to bring at Interview for Citizenship test. Driving license, Passport, medicare and Tenant lease contract. These are the documents available for me right now. Is there anything else i have to show at interview?

Friends live in Melbourne please share your valuable experience as well. Thanks

Possibly a simply question but I needed some clarification please.

My wife and I went from a 457 to 186 PR, all these applications were done by me (the main applicant), which automatically included my wife.

With citizenship, am I correct in saying that my wife and I need to apply for this separately?

I'd rather be sure than assume.

    Thanks in advance

Yes, each adult age over 18 need to apply citizenship individually. and under 18 can be applied with their any parents preferably with who were the primary applicant at PR.

BTW, you did not apply yet? I thought you did already. which city you live in?

    Thank you Kaz! 🙂

The Immigration lady only checked my Passport, Medicare Card, Australian Driver licence and the original of my Birth Certificate (along with the Naati translation of it).

From the above, my Australian Driver licence is the only document with my current address on it

I personally had brought everything with me just in case (bills and tenancy agreement). I am not sure if other officers ask for more documents.

As a side note, she scanned my documents. She also took a photo of me.

The discussion was quite quick and then I took the test which is in line with the test exemple provided on the immigration website.

After the test, they run a police check. I saw the approval in my immigration account. I did not receive a notification, I proactively checked my account.

She told me that I would receive a letter though.

Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

Thanks a lot buddy. much information provided which is very helpful for us.

waiting for your ceremony soon 26 Jan

Do I need to update immi / Vevo or something with the new details? Forgive the ignorance 🙂

Yes definitely you have to update with your kids changes in circumstances before you apply citizenship for him

I can't see Citizenship appointment so it possibly opens up when one gets invitation letter. Where can I find messages?

Also, do all applicants of family get a consolidated appointment letter? Or if different, I believe the appointment date is the same? Me and wife applied at a gap of 4 days from each other.

Hi, just wondering do under 16 years child need to attend at the appointment test? i got 5 years old child but not sure he has to be there with parents as he also included in one parent. anyone had the experience please reply.

    Thanks

Hi, I am on 457 visa for almost 2 and half years and want to apply for 186 visa (ENS TRTS). My employer has lodged 3 applications already and he is saying that I should wait for the applicants to get any positive response. My questions is that does other applications have any impact on my application if I lodge it early?

Yes surely it would affect on your visa application because your employer (nomination) will be assessed on the basis of capabilities in keeping(hiring) those full timer. If the business doesn’t have the ability to hire another full time for another commitment then it is unlikely comes up with positive outcome.

You better wait rather hurry to make sure all your afford doesn’t go in vain.

Hi, I applied for 186 trt but my daughter 4 years old got speech delay or development delay. Can you please advise on this what will happen. Visa officer asked for medical  and I am going to do medical soon here in Sydney.

    Hi Ali,

without delaying you should go to GP and GP will send your kids to clinical psychologist to assess your kid and will provide you a report and visa medical officer will need that report. if the report says only speech delay you will assume nothing to worry. even though your kids will require early intervention through the speech therapy. every kids is different. some takes time to start talking and some are quick. nothing to worry.

But you and your wife should spend more time with kids as long as possible. parents are the best teachers at home.

They shouldn't be asking you for English scores again... As long as it was valid at the time of applications (which is 3yrs) it should be based on that score. You should tell them that you have already submitted your PTE.

i agree with this statement. as you already submitted your English language test along with your visa application. It’s not your fault as immigration taking more time to finalise your visa application process. you should be ok.

Hi, yes you apply after the baby is born and you have the birth certificate. But that certificate I think is only needed for the passport. So you don't need to rush, unless you are planning to get a passport for your son. Things like medicare and so on can be done with the birth certificate.

Thanks a lot dear LAG. Good on yah
