Still sitting at Received sadly. Not had any contact. Applied mid March so hopefully something soon..... 🍀

@boo-yaaHang in there!! I once read on DHA's  official Facebook website that although it shows "received", there may be automatic checks done on your application. So just wait until they are missing something to ask for it, and if nothing is missing/ or further information is required (like some people's applications), your application can go from Received to Finalised.

    All the best!

I assume a lot of people got their applications in before March 1st. Changes were announced to be effective in March but the date wasn't specified (which ended up being 16th) but most MA would have rushed applications in. I am definitely one of them 🙂

"This edition of the Skilled Visas E-news focuses on the changes to the skilled visa programs which came into effect on 18 March 2018." as per Immigration's website.

  3. CO requested for Payslips, employment payment summary, and a cover letter stating company wishes to continue employment for at least 2 years. This was requested to Company (nomination app). Requested on 29 Dec

That has been uploaded yesterday.. I am still waiting for my police checks from home country to come through and upload them.

    Good luck everyone 🙂

Applied both visa and nom Trt 186: 05/march/2018

@Nora That's great news - I knew there had to be more to it! Glad it's as simply as PCC.

From personal experience, they'll revisit your application (with the uploaded PCC's) within a month and 2 weeks (this happened twice with me). So get them done 🙂

Good things are coming your way! Holding thumbs.

Yes!!! Although, home country pcc take longer !! But oh well..we can always advise the Department should it take longer than the 28 days.

    May God hear ya!

    Thanks @Hex !!!😊😊😊

This sounds like they are missing some documents (even though you say they are already uploaded).

I had (possibly) a similar issue, whereby they requested our medicals - even though they were already complete. It took an email (and a month of waiting) to tell them that they were already complete and attached to the application.

Regardless, this sounds like good news - if you have already attached everything needed, they might just need a "bump" telling them, it's all already there 🙂

Lets see what your MA says!

Yeah who knows..I will let you know!! tomorrow is by 29th Bday!! woohoo, I had the crazy thought that prob by then I would be a PR lol. Silly mee..

I know, first to me too, according to all the things I have read on this forum. So on the letter, it says to submit all relevant documents (medicals, etc, etc) which are already submitted (so this was the first "WHAT" I asked myself..like can't they see it is already there?), and just below all our documents, there is a button that reads:  " I Confirm I have provided information as requested"

    But the request reads:

So on the correspondence, the letter sent asks for all the documents (medicals, character documents, skills/experience etc) to which we have 28 days to respond (but like I said, we already submitted all the documents, they're there.. i see them uploaded) That is why I guess that the only action required is to hit the button (read below). Who knows, tomorrow or Wed my MA will be back, and I do not want to hit the button myself because I do not want to jump my MA, I mean..we are still in time, and I am waiting for him to upload our police checks (which we do it from our end..but I don't want to jump him and do it myself)

    Important information

This application requires additional supporting documentation. Please check correspondence and attach the requested documents.

By clicking on the 'Information Provided' button you acknowledge that the Department may proceed to make a decision on the application. Not clicking the 'Information Provided' button in no way lengthens or overrides the period specified in the correspondence.

Can it be a decision ready app? I do not have a clue!! haha. I will keep you guys posted.

And in the request / response it seriously says "Apparently, the action required is to click on "I acknowledge that the documents are complete"? That's a first for me, wow!

@Nora If you have access to your TRN number, you could always import your application and check messages / updates in regards to what changed or what is required.

As for my PR - yep, it came through and was granted / finalized in November 2018.

Yes I did that..I imported the application, and that is where I read the further documentation request or further action required letter.
Oh wow, what a relief hey!!! Congrats to you and your loved ones!! I did what Bella recommended..haha we bought a bottle of champ!! (not that we drink) but haha just for the giggles!! 🙂

Yes it is showing status as 'received' and last updated was on 16th march.I have still another 2 months time before my AFP, PCC and medicals to get expired.

Same boat, our medicals will expire on April. Prior to the 29/Dec/2018, the last date shown as updated was 3 April 2018 (when medicals were done).

Best of luck.. I think we are nearly there!!!!!! Hang on!!!! :):) @ajk

Yeah, those were my exact same thoughts. She would got the DE route (so she doesn't have to wait thr 3 years), and already has a positive skills assesment - hence, why I was confused as to why her agent is telling her to go for the 190. I'm hoping he is just not sure and once the question is asked would change his mind. I feel the 186 is way more secure (also then the 457 won't go to waste). Either way, it's an interesting one - i'll let you know the outcome if interested?

As for your application - that's a weird "action required" and I'd be very dubious of that - as if the CO has already viewed the case, they would know if all documents are complete or if something is required. Let's see what your MA has to say (PS - when my MA was on holidays I spoke to another agent in his office to look at my file, not sure if you have the option, but if you are as impatient as I was - that could possibly be an option?). Holding thumbs for you.

Yeah I thought the same as well. He would have viewed everything there. But I do have access to our account with the TRN so I did see that action required thing. I rang the my MA's office today, but he is the only one in charge of all visa related cases.

Yes..keep me posted about your friend, just for curiosity. Remind me, did your PR come through @Hex ? 🙂

    I think CO already assigned.

Yeah I think so. It was last updated on the 29/Dec/2018; that day it changed status. But oh boy, haha these holidays are driving me nuts!!! Can't wait for my MA to get back.

@ajk is your status showing "received"? We have done everything since March 2018; Medicals, Police Checks, all necessary translations, Form 80, etc. The only one thing I had to do again (but not because we were requested) but because they expired were our Australian Police Checks.

Thanks @Nora, she was granted her 457 in June 2018 (06/2018) and her occupation  (based off that website) is on the MLT - see below.

    - It's frustrating as to why this needs to be so complicated.

    image.thumb.png.ec29592b7f602fa8af657877a9593dd9.png

Ah yeah I see, her occupation is on the MLT. Sorry didn't see the attachment. So, I wonder why she is applying for 190. I mean her occupation is eligible for both visas. Probably because she wants to do things quicker;(not waiting the three years to apply for TRT), However, as far as I know, she is able to apply for Direct Entry without completing the years time on a 457. In any case, I do not see how a MA can profit from the type of visa an applicant applies for. They only charge the service fees, not the cost of the visa itself.. perhaps one takes more time than the other.

On another hand, I am still waiting for my MA to come back from his holidays haha my application went from Received to Initial Assessment. Apparently, the action required is to click on "I acknowledge that the documents are complete" button.  We applied on 05 March 2018.

@Nora Thanks for the information. I had a look at it does seem to be on the STSOL list.

    - I'm correct in assuming then that she should be fine to apply for the 186 visa, there is further less reason to be going for the 190?

    https://www.workvisalawyers.com.au/resources/occupation-lists/subclasses-457-186.html

Child Care Centre Manager 134111 MLTSSL TRA

If she applied after 18/April/2017 for 457..she will then meet the 3 years requirement in order to apply for a Ens 186 and only capable if her occupation is on the MLT. But according to what you have said, she is on the SSL list and applied for 457 after the 18/april/2017. Therefore she does not meet the requirements or her occupation is not eligible for 186. That is why her MA is recommending to go for 190.

Note: Skilled occupation list requirements willnot apply to TRT stream applicants who either:

    • held a subclass 457 visa on 18 April 2017 and continues to hold this visa (or a TSS visa / related bridging visa at time of application)
    • lodged a subclass 457 visa application on or before 18 April 2017, which was subsequently granted, and continues to hold this visa (or a TSS / related bridging visa at time of application).

@Hex You are saying that your friend has been on a 457 for over a year.. That would mean she applied after 18/april/2017 meaning that the occupation is relevant on her case as per the reading above. All those applications lodged after 18/april/2017 must comply on the new requirements for Ens 186 where occupations are relevant as per 18/March/2018.

    @BB88 Thanks for this.

So, are you saying - if her skill IS ON the STSOL list, then she would not be able to apply for a 186 (either route)?

She is applying as a "Child care centre manager" (haven't checked the list). She has had her visa for a little over a year now and my assumption was that, if you had a 457, you should be able to transition to a 186 (either) - there would be no reason to go for the 190 route, however, it sounds like I could be mistaken?

Thanks again for the heads up.

    Hi guys, question:

Immigration asked my agent on 10th Dec for extra police clearance, my agent asked these documents to me yesterday (20th Dec).

Considering that immigration give 28 days as deadline to send the documents, considering the scenario that I can't give these documents in time for the 28 days, what can happen?

They don't accept any documents after the deadline? There are any possibility/reason to make them accept it?

My agent stop to work today and will return only 7th Jan.

    Any help/idea?

Apply now online on the afp website. I applied two days ago, and they sent the certificate already via post (it will arrive 3-7 business days). What a bummer that your agent didnt advice you on time. Is there a way you can contact him/her to just submit that directly? I believe we can't submit any docs on our immi account if we import the application,or can we?? Good luck!!!!
