Hi guys please help,i am on old 457 granted Feb 2016

    I have 65 points

    Nurse mental health

    Currently in perth

I want to do ENS but been with currently employer 2yrs this june ,i did 1yr with another it says 3 years with nominating employer, what are my chances😰😰

Only for those who were granted a 457 after 19*april*17 should complete 3 years with employer. Those granted a 457 prior to this date are to complete 2years. So, if you hold 457 since Feb 2016 all you need are 2 years. You are eligible for ENS TRT 186. Talk to a Migration agent. 🍀

  3. Hey everyone, I have a newborn here! 🐣🐮Yay, just letting you guys know that once you get your PR and have a newborn or child into your care, you are eligible to apply for Family Tax Benefit Part B. This one does not have a waiting period. You may check more details on DHS (Department of Human Services). It also states on the ENS 186 section on the DHA website.

Congrats to all getting their PRs! And those waiting, hang in there, your time will come. 😁

    Hey all,

My visa status currently under "Further Assesment" after I had to supply further documents.

I'm currently planning to go on holiday outside the country over the Easter break and would, therefore, need to apply for a BVB visa.

Does anybody know if the BVB application would influence the current further assessment?
Either in a positive or negative way ..

I believe it doesn't have any impact on your visa process. We have read many stories where applicants travel overseas while their application is being reviewed and even approved.

    Enjoy the Easter Break!🐇🐣

    Hi guys,

Normally police check is valid for 1 year, depending of the country, ok. But 1 year start from the day that we apply or from the day that the documents has been done?

I did my police check in November 2017 and I applied April 2018.

Should I do it again and send to the immigration?

    thanks

From the date the Police Check was issued. So, saying this..your police check expired in Nov 2018.  I would be arranging another one. Do what suits you best. Good luck.🍀

There are many people here that are way helpful - it's the community and what we are here for.
    - To try help make this process a little easier (any way possible).

Keep up the great work guys - now, lets get some PR's granted! 🎉

    Thanks Hex!! 😊

    Hi All,

I have been following this forum for awhile and would like to seek some advice from all fellow visa applicants here. I have applied for ENS 186 DE offshore and my nomination was approved in May 2018 and now pending confirmation on my visa approval. Once my visa approved, my nominated employer would need me to report in within 3 months. My question now is: -

    1. Once my visa/pr approved if i decided not to work with this employer, what will happen to my visa?

    2. Will it be automatically pull back or is there any rules stating that once visa approved i must start work with the nominated employer within a certain time frame?

    3. Or once pr approved, i must be in Aus within a time frame or it will be revoked? What if i delay my entry to Aus?

Thanks in advance and sincerely seek clarification and advice from all.

    Hi!

Please find info regarding your questions. You may also consult the webpage.

Resource: Department of Home Affairs (2019), Employer Nomination Scheme Direct Entry, Website: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/employer-nomination-scheme-186/direct-entry-stream#About Consulted on: 01 march 2019

    It states the following:

    Your obligations

You and your family members must obey all Australian laws.

We expect that you will work for your nominating employer for at least 2 years.

You agree to begin your employment within 6 months of:

    • entry to Australia if you were granted the visa outside Australia
    • the visa grant date if you were granted the visa in Australia

@Nora Thanks for this - i'd still be curious to know where it is that they need us to update all this information (I know it says, via the website and for 1022) but then what - you email it to them / update your application etc. I guess we'll figure it out when we have to 🙂

Through form 1022. And you just post it via mail. A colleague from work has his PR and changed residential address and did what it is written to do on his PR grant letter (which is what I copy/paste to you, check page 3). And now automatically his address has been updated. Now he receives correspondence from the Department to this new address. Don't stress about it. 😊

There is definitely no need to update your 'finalized" 186 application on IMMI

The only thing you need to update them with is any changes in passport.

Address does not need to be updated after the Visa has been granted

@Hex @sydneyishuk Actually you fo have to update this info. It is written on you visa grant notice on the last page (see page 3 of your letter) maybe not on the actual immi account but through form 1022.

    It reads:

    Update us
You are required to tell us about any changes to your details as soon as possible.
These changes may include your name, passport, contact details, address or family
    members.
If you do not notify us of your new details, this can have serious consequences for you.
You must do this in writing and can use Form 1022 Notification of changes in circumstances
(Section 104 of the Migration Act 1958), which is available at www.homeaffairs.gov.au/
    allforms
    More information: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/change-in-situation

    Hi

I have applied for 186 DE stream ONSHORE in Nov 2018. I want to move to a new apartment that is closer to work. Is it ok to change the address while application is still under processing? Would it cause any delays of I changed the address and notified immigration of the same.

    Thanks

If you do move, just update your address info via Form 929. And that is it. No dramas at all.

I thing you are  wrong mate  DE has nothing to do with 457 visa , anybody can apply DE if they meet the requirement(skill assessment,3years work experience and employer willing to sponsor)  but for TRT you have to work 2years on 457 visa who visa was grant befor 18april,2017  that’s why they can apply PR even there occupation short term list or remove from list doesn’t matter so who ever going to apply for DE occupation should be on MEdium term list.

That is what we were discussing: occupation list. From 18/March/2018 the list IS relevant for DE.

I applied 186 TRT Oct 2018 as a cook which is on STL. As in my knowledge One can apply 186 TRT / DE if got visa before the new rule change 2017 .

Yes, sorry. Exemptions apply. If you held or had applied for your subclass 457 on 18 April 2017 and are applying under the TRT/DE stream the occupation list does not impact your application.

  13. 9 minutes ago, sydneyishuk said:

I've heard you must have 3 years experience when applying if you fall short of this you are at the risk of visa being refused.

Yes, when you apply you shall meet the 3 years experience. Check out the website for further information. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/employer-nomination-scheme-186/direct-entry-stream

    You must

    • have an occupation that is on the list of eligible skilled occupations
    • have at least 3 years relevant work experience, unless you are exempt
    • have a positive skills assessment, unless you are exempt

I just had a quick look and I don't think there is a waiting period for Child Care Subsidy - so @Cheshireborn will be okay 😊

The waiting period relates to the following:

A four year waiting period applies to:
 Newstart Allowance  Youth Allowance  Austudy  Parenting Payment  Mobility Allowance  Sickness Allowance  Bereavement Allowance  Special Benefit  Pensioner Education Supplement  Farm Household Allowance  Low Income Health Care Card  Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.

A two year waiting period applies to:
 Parental Leave Pay  Dad and Partner Pay  Carer Payment.

A one year waiting period applies to:
 Carer Allowance  Family Tax Benefit Part A.

@Hex Sorry my bad, child care is not mentioned.. I will ask as well. Thanks @boo-yaa

mmmh, we were given child care immediately after PR grant.
    - Looking at time lines, we are about 3 months apart, so would be surprised if " Cheshireborn"  has any issues here.

@hex FYI, changes apply from 01/Jan/2019. You were granted your PR before the changes were made, so you were one of the lucky ones.  So,those who arrived on a PR and granted a PR after 01/01/2019 must wait 1 year for Family Tax Benefit, and other timeframes for any other subsidy.

    Hi everyone

i had applied 186 in mid march as a cook . On 28th January requested business documents and my pte result. That's wasn't open. I talked pte centre and they send result to home affairs department. Now immi account shows initial assessment to FURTHER assessment. Business documents pending , it submits by MA this week.

My question is that why  further assessment is showing on immi account? Is it normal or worrying signs? I'm thinking madly since I have seen...

    ????

Guys! It HAPPENED! I just got my PR granted. Nearly 20 months of waiting. It really hasn't sunk in yet.

This has been BY FAR the most expensive, stressful, rollercoaster journey of my life. My case was quite complicated and there were many hurdles but I did it! If any of you need an MA i can't recommend Carmen & Associates enough. They have always gone above and beyond for me and were just excellent.

I have spent the last hour on calls to friends and family and I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone. NO work has been done since 3.30 😄

Thanks to everyone on this forum for all of your support, advice and laughs over the many many months. Just know- if you have a complicated case, small business turnover and high-risk occupation and been waiting FOREVER-- there is hope!

Here's hoping the 2-year-old bottle of Dom Perignon has aged well! 🍾

Thanks again guys and all the best! x

Well deserved!!! Congrats Maria!!!!! Enjoy!!!! Haha I stilk have my bottle there..couldn't drink it due to pregnancy haha.. But once baby is out I will do so for sure. All the best!
