  2. People from Melbourne, have you guys heard anything from the Department...bc I haven't When do they close for the Xmas/NYE Holiday? Hopefully we get some good news before 2020 is over Cheers, N
  3. Just a little patience GnRs That is all we need down in Victoria. Hopefully Dan Andrew can update us waiting when they will resume tests/interviews.
  4. Meanwhile in Victoria... I hope we start hearing good news soon.
  5. You are/were eligible on the 12/August. That is your PR anniversary date.
  6. Wondering the same. Hopefully they do, as now most places are able to have gatherings of 20 people. Fingers crossed.
  7. The Maternal and Child Health Nurse can do this for you, MCH from your local council. I did the same a year ago with my baby's MCH nurse.
  8. Apply for evidence of citizenship. It takes 1-4 business days to be approved. Easy! They will send you the Au certificate
  9. Our Common Bond. Download if from the immi webpage. Follow the instructions of the actual file and you are good to go. All the best!
  10. I do remember skipping part by accident from my parent 1 section and it marked it in red. So maybe it is compulsory.
  11. Not sure if you will be able to save and submit the application without your parent's details. Does it?
  12. Noup, all paperwork provided, just wanted an up to date passport. That was the only request, never mentioned if insufficient. If CO requests it, I cannot say otherwise.
  13. They will update your details, your persona: which links all current and past applications. That is what I was told by my migration lawyer.
  14. On the citizenship. The one that is being processed. The other one is done and dusted.
  15. Do nothing to the PR app. Go to the one being processed (citizenship) it is all linked.
  16. Under "messages" from your application, you will read "Update details". Did you see it?
  17. Yes within your actual application. Click on your name (View details) or even click on the button next to it that says "Update details". If you click on view details of your application, you will see (the current application), and you will see : Menu Application homeMessagesUpdate detailsBridging visa information Actions Attach documents Update details You can provide updated information to the department using the links below. Change of address details Change of email address details Change of passport details
  18. Login to your immi account, and on the left you will see the tab the says "Update details", click on it and then it will ask you what do you want to update i.e. name, address, passport.
  19. Well like you, you cannot say that you don't need it, because in my personal experience that is false; as I did need one valid bc case officer requested one for my child (5yold). If the case officer asks for one...oh well. If he doesn't ask for one, good on ya! Next
  20. It was just a reference for you guys to see that for some processes they require the passport to be valid for another 6 months when submitting an aplication or travelling. But the best advice you have given is to take advice from the experts and calling DHA. Peace
  21. As mentioned, it is used as a reference for all dependencies. I was required to submit valid passport for my child, so there you go. We all go through different experiences. And as mentioned, the person will do whatever suits him/her best. This is a forum to dialogue and share experiences, otherwise just have it shut down and go and call DHA for everything. Jesus! Don't need to throw all your attitude at me.
  22. Look it up and you will see. If they are asking for documents, obviously they want it to be valid. Your friend is just one case of how many? At the end of the day, the person will do what suits him best. Fyi https://www.passports.gov.au/passports-explained/how-apply/eligibility-citizenship-and-identity/documents-confirm-your-australian use it as a reference for all dependencies and applications. Better safe than sorry.
  23. Just submit the application with the 'about to expire' passport. And if needed, the case officer will request an up to date/valid passport in due time. But when you can, get on to it, think that eventually you will need one while you case is being processed, and because it is a form of identification it MUST be valid. So upload the passport while still valid and then upload a new one. Good luck!
