  1. Hello, If an applicant has an eye condition that the MoC considers expensive, what would be the best way to go forward? Will the case officer allow an extra time for treatment or is there any way to pursue the health waiver? We'd be really appreciated to hear your experiences/suggestions. Also, I'm trying to look up George Lombard's contact, but he seems to have moved to another company. Is he still providing services for parents visa? Thanks very much!
  2. I think you need to submit Form 929 so that the department can link your visa to the new passport. The details of how to submit should be on the form.
  3. Hi @Pertenhall, I think you need to have lived in AU for 4 years since your visa activation date. Make sure you also meet the criteria below, especially item 3. You can start your online application. If you don't meet residence requirement, it won't allow you to proceed. Also worth checking with the calculator if you haven't done so already: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/residence-calculator
  4. Have you checked if there is any adblock program enabled? Also try clearing browser cookies, go into incognito mode or a different browser.
  5. You can try this form: https://www.emedical.immi.gov.au/eMedUI/eMedicalClient
  6. Yes, better to go to Centrelink branch since they will need to verify your id before account is usable.
  7. I think the condition referred to above is not on the parent visa itself, but on the partner visa instead, which eligible sponsor must not have sponsored another person or been sponsored during the last 5 years, so you need to check the eligibility criteria of the partner visa or any visa you want to apply to confirm.
  8. Hi @Christa, I think it should be fine. Why not let your sponsor who is in Australia do the payment? Afterward, you should send payment receipt to parent visa team as proof.
  9. Hi @Mily, I think you need to wait till visas are issued to see if there is any condition on them, especially Condition 8502 “must not enter Australia before specified person”. https://www.australiavisa.com/immigration-news/visa-granted-outside-australia-entry-related-condition-8502/
  10. IMO, if one person could meet financial requirement, just use that one person. Joint application could be complicated.
  11. You seem to have lodged a joint application because you are using the same application number. I think you need to lodge 2 separate applications. I could be wrong; please confirm with Centrelink.
  12. You should also try Australian embassy. They should be able to provide this service for a fee.
  13. If you have received the acceptance letter, you may email it to pvc team.
  14. Just to clarify, are you using new passport details for the vevo check? Last time I used it, if you use old passport details, it will show old passport number, and vice versa. If you use new passport details and it says no visa found, etc, then most likely it haven't been updated.
  15. Hi @Kathss56, I assumed you already have a visa? You can verify your visa with new passport details using vevo check: https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query You should also bring both passports when you travel.
  16. I think Commbank has a monthly fee, but can be waived with monthly deposit. If that's a concern, you can use NAB instead. Regarding saving account interest rate, UBank USaver + Ultra is the best at the moment - 2.41% with minimum $200 monthly deposit from external bank (UBank is owned by NAB, online only). Regardless of who you bank with, you can use any ATM from the big 4 without any fee.
  17. You need to lodge AoS application first. After your application is processed or you get interviewed, they will issue a letter requesting bond guarantee, which you need to bring to CommBank. Also, you can't lodge AoS application until you receive invitation letter from PVC team to provide documents.
  18. https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/duty-free Can't find official link for depreciation.
  19. Some used items could have depreciation applied, and if you travel in group, you could combine your allowances.
  20. (removed previous link as contradicting information found) https://www.australiavisa.com/immigration-news/visa-granted-outside-australia-entry-related-condition-8502/ It's best to speak to a registered migration agent.
  21. What is your initial entry date on the visa? Your parents will have to activate their visas before that date. I read somewhere that the main visa applicant has to activate visa first, but I could be wrong.
  22. OK, I can't find any noticeable change. The data is restored back to April 12 version. If you added anything after that date, please verify.
