So when filling the visa application my husband said 100% to tick 'No' against the question around convictions etc saying it was "Just a slap on the wrist" from a silly thing he did when he was about 14/15. Yet on the UK police check his has come back with "no live trace" which means there is a criminal record but deemed no longer relevant. Do I need to do anything with that?! Any advice pls.

Hey Emma! We submitted our final application last week (20th June). Had medicals done Friday 22nd and am just waiting for our police checks to arrive. Our MA said he hasn't noticed a difference in pricessing time front loading documents though I really want him to haha. So might ask he does once everything is received. We had wanted to be back out there this year but I doubt realistically the visa will be granted til November time I reckon so might hold out and spend Xmas with family and I really really hope we can come out in Jan. (If there's no grant by January I'll cry haha). Laura xx

Hi all, Wondering if it's of any benefit to front load all docs (after final application submission) prior to being asked for them (police checks & form 80)? Does this speed up the process at all? I have seen comments around getting 'direct grants' without CO contact... is this from front loading documents? Thanks! ? NSW 190 visa / Diesel Mechanic / 70pts

Hey, Forgive me if this is silly .... but do you mean that you submitted EOI for 190 NSW then got invited, so submitted your docs and then already got invited again by skillsasses? Thanks! ? x

I feel your pain!!! We returned home from aus after our 457 visa ended last year (oh why oh why didn't we apply for residency whilst still in oz?!) ... We got married in Nov, and are still sharing with my parents because I don't wana buy a house because... well what's the point when we plan on leaving again (and refuse to rent cos tgats just throwing money away) ... but also wanting babies cos we are almost 30, but again, holding off till we are back in oz. Currently have 2x EOIs lodged (in march) and waiting for invite on either. We literally have our life on hold whilst we wait to get back out there. But with the way it's going (We have 65pts) god knows when we will get an invite. So at what point do we decide to stop waiting so we can get on with life. So very much know where you're coming from. It's tough! We just wana go back and start life!

Thank you both for replying. I haven't been able to locate anywhere online what the invitation results are for the 190 visa, I don't suppose you know where they are listed? I am trying to see what their points requirement is at the moment and if it's a tough for the 190 as it is for the 189. Thank you!!

Hi everyone, So I fall in to the same boat as most, waiting for an invite after submitting an EOI for a 189 visa. I am defacto on my partners application and he is a Diesel Mechanic. We have 65 points and I can see that people under 70 points haven't been getting invited since last year; so that's disheartening! Anyway, the point of my post is to ask, is there any chance we would never get an invite at all?? Or is it just a case of waiting and eventually we will be invited ... just later down the line. I suppose I am just looking for some reassurance. Any comment is appreciated! Laura x
