  1. Got our visa last month ... still stalking this feed to see how the others ie@CEP and co get on as they helped me get through waiting so want to hear when they get great news (soon!) I didn't do the 80 originally but then talking to people on here made me fill it in .... it's your call but I always went with the idea that I would hate an RFI just cos I didn't fill in something I thought I should and then end up back in the queue instead of with a golden email (ended up with an RFI but that was something else!!!) Hope you hear before getting on the plane in July.
  2. Hi mppc sounds like we are similar timeframes we land in Brisvegas in July too ..... all crossed you are validating when you land. We did a form 80 ... I think it's a requirement on the check list now ... a lot is similar to the 40 and 47 but some extra info is on there Good luck and congrats to all the recent grants
  3. I can't remember exactly what you did but someone talked about being able to download what you had uploaded through the portal .... if you do that can you see those documents you have lost?? All crossed it's fixed for you Congrats to those visa grants today
  4. @GEMS1984 hope that you dad makes a speedy recovery and your visa is through whilst you are there. It really is the nightmare of emigrating but guess we are all in the position where one of us is away from our family .... couldn't fall in love with a local could we!
  5. Found this today in case anyone needs to go offshore to validate in March and fancies doing it in a bit more style https://www.godsavethepoints.com/2019/02/16/business-class-sydney-auckland-500-round-trip/
  6. I'm not sure if the slowness is what my issue was. I think my biggest issue was the opaqueness of it all. If there was an online tracker of progress ... expected timeline of when we would be reviewed etc I think everyone would feel better. But when people seemingly ahead of you are granted / receiving RFIs and it's all silent for you it's worrying, as you start questioning if you can fill out forms properly and if you have you just thrown $7000 down the drain. CEPs tracker at least gives an indication of order and requests and where we sit - i swear its the only thing i had to hold onto at the end i was seriously getting so stressed. But surely there is some way the immi account could do that .... I have everything crossed they come back to you guys soon and that you get those golden emails
  7. Thanks@GB1978 that's super helpful. Loads of luck with the move
  8. Super exciting huge congrats ... assume that this is a rental. Did you have to show bank statements etc???? Just wondering as we obvs don't have credit ratings! Xox
  9. Great tip thanks .... if you don't mind how much was ur quote??? You can DM me if you would prefer not to say ... would be good to know what roughly people are paying. Did you insure through JM or LP??
  10. Sorry Yeh I heard the Jays thing, apparently it's $80per shoe if they don't think it's clean .... this extends to golf tees and balls and Vacuum cleaners and in the hoses which could store dirt. What size crate were you quoted???
  11. Here you go - started a new thread so this stays for visas but we can all disuss shippers etc on this thread - if anyone can share experiences / costs i know i would be super grateful - ta
  12. Heya, A quick thread to start a discussion for all of us about to start the shipping process share what we have learned so far..... So far i know we need to add in electrical derangement cover - VAT may be added post BREXIT - best not! and I need to clean and dry the fridge freezer for at least a week before we go - oh and dismantle our ikea furniture - they dont like doing that! If anyone is willing to share their experiences / quotes/ costs / who they shipped / insured with we would be grateful TA
  13. Hey@TanC7 ... had PSS and John Masons out so far ... Anglo Pac and Picfords toms if the snow holds off then will let u know and start a thread... class of 2018 moves from visa to movers area!!!! Really liked the PSS guy he was very disarming ..... we will see ... looking like a 20ft for us ..... maybe avoid AP after@Bob Marley experience! Yeh our house should be listing in the next few days too .... we are looking at July tho ..... All crossed we all sell quickly
  14. If that is all they requested fingers crossed that is the last t to cross and you are done. Come on@CEP every time I see you have posted I am crossing my fingers and toes for you
  15. Hey guys, I remember the RFI question wasn't too clear but we uploaded to the most obvious place on the immi account and named it "UPDATE_form124" Hope that helps
  16. Heya I think we need to be careful so we don't get mixed up. Which form and question are you asking about and I will check our answer. I don't want to worry you if we are on different questions xox
  17. Hey, Yes we struggled with that @Urban_fox we had to put our son down as a child in the first box but tick no he wasn't emigrating with us as he has dual passports and therefore wasnt included in my application..... from what i read at the time it is a case of this is to identify those members of the family emigrating so unfortunately sounds like you will need to fill out the form @LouFerg was referring to. Loads of luck Come on the November RFIs this week .... lets make this the last Australia day we are all (for those of us still here) in the cold! In other news we have had John Masons and PSS round and will be starting a thread in the next few days for those of us looking at crates and insurance so anyone with feedback on this it would be great to know esp on costs, experiences and insurance %ages if you don't mind sharing. Happy Australia Day to us all
  18. Lol at least you have otherwise you may spend the mortgage budget on a pack .... I've told my OH he has to quit before we get back he can't afford to smoke over there !!!!!
  19. Congrats @Heather Kennedy amazing news @Clairechesh the average if you can say there is one seems to be 5-9months but as CEP said it's luck of the draw with the CO and if they find an issue on the application. I would say we did it ourselves and after heaps of research and planning it was still a good week or two to get everything together and scanned and submitted. Our RFI was a minor question which an agent may or may not have seen. Yours does sound straight forward but I guess it comes down to how good at detail you are as an agent ensures you have provided everything ...... best of luck
  20. That's so exciting@ZoeHoulding have a fab flight and all crossed for some great news whilst you are in the air. We won't be joining you all in Brissy until July I'm afraid but have a house to pack and sell so need a bit more time!!!!! Defo class of the second half of 2018 catch up when we are all there tho xox
