    Hi Totto. I received my new police check today and have sent it off. I believe my medical results are with them now (awaiting confirmation), but other than that I have had no word from them. I have asked my MA for an update. Hoping to hear back soon. As soon as I do I will update on here. Any news for you?

    I'm hopeful for this week for us all. I am just waiting on my Medical results to go over and hoping they pick up my file straight away and not wait another 28 Days. Best of luck everyone. Keep you heads up xx

    My file was only opened at 15 months, and my circumstances are quite similar to you i.e. low risk, good company etc. I'm still waiting! they asked for a new AFP and Medical, so if I were you I would apply for these now as Immigration will more than likely ask for them again. Better to have them to hand as soon as they ask, if they don't ask then you lose a few hundred dollars but time is more valuable. There are so many people in the same situation so please try not to worry too much. I do understand too how worrying it is. They cant simply refuse your application if everything is submitted and legit. I believe you will hear from them soon, be prepared, that is the best advice I can give you...Be ready with everything! Try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Take care and best of luck.

    Yes I got it done, sent it in. My file was opened again on the 29th March and then they asked me to do a new Medical and another AFP because it didn't show my middle name. I was not happy over Easter. Anyway I did my medical today and sent off for another police check yesterday. I hope this will be the end of it all. 16 months is too long. I'm very happy for you. I bet you are on cloud 9. Well done xx

    One step forward two steps back! DIBP opened my file again on the 29th March and have now requested updated Medical. Why they didn't ask for the Medical back in Feb when they asked for the Police Check is beyond me! I also have to do ANOTHER police check as the once I submitted at the end of Feb did not have my middle name on it! Double check everything guys before you send back. 16 Months waiting now!!! Best of luck to you all.

    20 Months!!!! I'm so sorry for you! I've just reached 15! I don't think my mental state could take another 5 Months. Best of luck to you, I really hope you hear something soon.

    I'm so sorry. But being in the same positon as you for so long your post made me giggle a little. I remember posting on here that I wanted the word "Received" taken out of the English Dictionary. I never realised how one word could turn my day upside down. Keep your chin up.

    You never know with Immigration. You may get granted before I do! Its never a sure thing. I also followed others in our occupation and some were granted within 6 months, some within 9 months and only one I have seen which took 11 months. The spreadsheet helps a little to analyse this but its never going to be 100% as not everyone adds their details. We can never be sure, which is the worst part of waiting and not understanding the logic behind the processing from Immigrations side. Keep your chin up, you just never know what they may do.

    New Police Clearance submitted 28th Feb. My Immi status now says "Further Assessment". I'm guessing this will then change to "Assessment in Progress" or hopefully it will change to "Finalised". Fingers crossed for a quick turnaround, I think it only fair after 15 Months waiting. I hope they don't drag this bit out. I have updated Spreadsheet and will update again once I hear more. Good luck to you all. I fully understand the stress and worry.

    Yes it was me. I submitted the Police Clearance on the 28th Feb. My Immi account now says "Further Assessment". I am hoping they will now just accept the Police Clearance and grant the PR. I will update once I hear more. Good luck to you all.

    That's crazy! My MA did mine for free! I just had to pay the fee to Immigration $145! I don't know how straight forward it is but give it a shot and save yourself $500! There is nothing you don't know about yourself or situation that a Migration agent will. I think $500 is really unfair!

    My MA informed me that they wont ask for Police Check again for my Country of residence and exactly for the reason you mentioned that we don't live there anymore so its pointless asking. Obviously they can ask for whatever they like but in my case they have not asked. Best of luck to you both.

    Some good news! My MA emailed me yesterday to say that Immigration have opened my file and now want a new Police check as the other has expired! I'm not even mad about having to do another Police Check, just to know they have actually opened my file is good enough for now. I have just sent off for the Police Check and its usually a pretty fast process, so fingers crossed I am almost there! Good luck to all.

    Lets just say that Wine helps a lot. To be honest I am sure that everyone around me is sick of hearing about it and I'm kinda sick of talking about it too. But there is little we can do so it really is just about trying to be patient, trying not to worry, retaining hope and making sure the Wine fridge is stocked up! Best of luck to you.

    I just got my Bridging Visa B! More expense, but at least I can go on Holiday. Keep your chin up. It'll be ok. We will get there.......Someday!
