  1. Hi guys, wondering if anyone has been through anything similar and can answer my quiery... so I have been waiting for nearly 11 months now for approval for my 187 whilst working for my employer who I intended to complete the once approved two years regional work with.. however in the wait time my feet have become itchy and I have found another regional employer who takes on 187 applicants with better job prospects How would this go with migration if I was to leave my current employer before being approved? Hopefully this makes sense and any advice would be great ?

    Awaiting 187

I did the process slightly different to you in that I had worked with my employer for 3 months in Aus when they then offered me sponsorship. But yes if I was in your situation I'd be contacting potential employers as regardless of your skill set most employers tend to want some kind of probation period before permanent positions are offered.

    Awaiting 187

Hey everyone, so I have been in Aus for 16 months, I came over in April 2016 on a working holiday visa. In October 2016 I applied for my RSMS- Like many others i am still awaiting a decision from immi but I was wondering......if immigration does refuse me can I still apply for my second year visa and would it only be valid until April 2018? Or I would get a whole new year? Cheers guys ??
  5. Direct entry cook 187 applied 18/10/2016, still waiting
  6. Hi Sam, i feel your pain on the frustration side ?. Now over 9 months for me and still nothing. Last I read on immigration was that processing was 10-12 months but I'm not sure if that means for people who are applying now as when we both would have applied the process time was 8-10 months? I hope the wait is not too much longer as it's now already looking like 3 years instead of two in the outback for me. Also I believe Medicals are only valid for 12 months? Fingers crossed for you
  7. Thanks Maggie, I phoned immigration yesterday and asked if I had missed any correspondence from them and they confirmed no correspondence has been sent from them since October. I then felt brave and asked if I had been allocated a case officer but unfortunately I couldn't get a yes or a no on that one, just that they would be in touch if they needed anything. Really is a very long frustrating waiting game but hopefully it's worth it ?
  8. Applied for 187 in oct 2016 as a cook, have yet to hear anything
  9. Hi, just wondering if anyone has any further information that could help/advise me. I applied for a 187 visa October 2016, uploaded all my documents within a week, medical, police check, ID qualification Certificates etc. i have literally had no further contact from immigration except for the day I applied and paid I was sent a bridging visa approval. Should I be concerned? As I'm beginning to think my file my not have even been opened yet, or they are waiting on something I am unaware of? Or is this pretty standard and I'm worrying over nothing? Thanks in advance
