  4. I did mine in Tassie. I don’t think there’s many of us on here based in Tas from the looks.
  5. Took my test on the 15th and anxiously awaiting approval.
  6. Thanks for getting back to me. That’s good to know. May I ask your timeline? I haven’t seen anyone else applying in Tas yet so I’m curious.
  7. Hi everyone, Anyone know what the processing times are like for Tasmania? Thanks
  8. Thank you wrussell! I got that one certified. I really appreciate your help.
  9. Hi all, im about to start my online application for Citizenship. Just need some clarification on if I can scan all original documents in colour and upload or if I need to get every document certified before I upload. I have tried to find clarification but haven’t been able to find a solid answer. please help! Thanks
  10. That is true. Every time a document is requested regardless of how soon you submit what they have asked they will not re open your file until the 28 day mark. Even then they are usually behind so it can be a week or so after that.
  11. This happened to me just recently. I was honest and told immigration. I filled out the 1446 form and did a stat dec to say we had separated. After a lot of back and forth immigration told me that they couldn’t take my ex off of the application as he refused to sign the form and say we had split. Months later and lots of stress the visa got granted with both of us on it. Best to be honest and write a stat dec, whatever they decide to do about it is up to them but atleast your friend will have given all the info and done the right thing. Hope it works out for her.
  12. I waited 3 weeks after the 28 day cut off point for them to pick it up on one of the occasions. They could very well request further documents once they do open it up again as well. I went through multiple 28 day waits and it is the worst. All totalled I was nearing 14 months from application to grant. Mine was tricky and likely put into the too hard basket for awhile as well as I declared separation with my spouse during the process. The wait is hard and only gets harder, but that feeling of disbelief and joy when you do get it is amazing. Goodluck
  13. Finally after months of waiting, many documents requested and 28 day wait periods I have been granted PR!!!!!!! so so so happy right now. Applied 6th Jan 17, nomination approved June 17, GRANTED today. LR transition, registered nurse. Goodluck everyone. I truly hope your wait ends soon too.
  14. You would think that it would work that way and when I initially called and asked for advice on what I should do about changing my circumstance, that is what they told me would happen. I did everything they asked, gave evidence, wrote a stat dec etc. It went on for a while with me waiting to see some progress and me calling them and getting different advice every time until they eventually told me that they couldn’t take him off of the visa as he is over 18 and classed as an applicant in his own right. I’m at a loss of what to do tbh. We were together over 10 years, so it was difficult enough as it was without this to deal with as well. I tried to do the right thing and it doesn’t seem to have gotten me very far as it now seems to be too difficult of a case for them and no case officer wants to make a decision .
  15. I applied in December 2016 and submitted all documents January 6th 17. My nomination was approved June 2017. I did the right thing and told them of a change in circumstance, that being that my fiancé and I split up. He was on the application as a secondary applicant. I went through all the right channels, completed the proper paperwork required. They said they couldn’t remove him and that he would have to withdraw himself, which he wouldn’t. He avoided them for months. They told me that my side of the visa was ready and waiting for approval since July but couldn’t process it due to my ex not meeting requests on documents etc. They now won’t update me on what is going on. My ex and I are not on good terms. I know they don’t need anything from me so I’m just waiting in limbo with no clue. I can see on the online account that they have sent him two separate natural justice letters requesting information but nothing seems to come of it. I hate the waiting, the not knowing and that my future is being held up by my past. Anyone else in a similar situation?
  16. Hey guys, I've been following this for a few months now. Today I got some good news. My nomination was approved. They have requested a further police check which I am now waiting on. Then hopefully I'll get that magic email ? Good of luck to everyone.
