Looking at todays update to the processing times, I would say they are processing them in the order recieved and we just have to wait it out!

I was thinking of looking for jobs with a view to the 187 or New Zealand! haha! I hate all this waiting! gah! This is still our best option tho ... doesnt hurt to look about Hi to you in Warrington, thanks for the kind words :)

I'm hoping its just an overestimation to stop all the queries they are getting. I noticed the 9-10 weeks for those that applied before 1st July disappeared a couple of weeks ago - I'm assuming they were all processed by that point which seemed ahead of schedule ... so tempted to look at other visas... meh!

Looks like we will be waiting into the new year for a decision fron SA ...

Hi JetBlast, My understanding is that SA will email you directly to say they have decided to nominate you. They then have to accept your EOI which opens up the visa application - from what I've read this can be at the same time or a few days apart. You should recieve an email from skillselect at when you get invited. I guess it depends whos processing them and how they work :) please feel free to correct me if im wrong as im not 100% on this

Waiting .... waiting .... at least we are in line! We have had the same email as you Jonno from SA. fingers crossed the processing times reduce for when you apply J&S, at one point last year it was 1-2 weeks, so you never know, you might catch us up once your skills assessment comes through :)

Jonno - your 4 days in front of us with your application, be good if you could let us know when you hear back :)

And after this we have to wait 6-7months for the 190 or 7-10months for the 489... Im thinking if we are lucky enough to get the visa in these timescales then a couple of months to tie up loose ends, its looking like a year till the big move! a year of having your life on hold! gah! but at least we are in the queue ;)

Argh! i know, I log in daily ... so fed up of seeing the words LODGED and SUBMITTED! Interesting to see it as percentages :)

Undoubtedly near work as we are awful commuters..... we'll see I'll be interested to see when we both finally get sponsorship since we submitted on the same day, I'll keep you posted [emoji16]

Ahh this has been two years in the planning already, we were waiting for 8 years experience to pass in June and we both feel like in limbo, decision is made and we're planning to go as fast as we can manage after the visa comes in. I was hoping to get over before Christmas but all these processing times are putting us back, I'd rather do a double summer than a double winter!

oh wow! I reckon you made the right decision staying home a little longer before you move to Oz - Hopefully you will have an easier time for your planning [emoji16]

We wouldve gone for the 489 if we didnt have the points for the 190 as the 887 that follows on from the 489 for Permanent Residency seems pretty straight forward and we really like SA. We couldnt believe our luck when they dropped the points to 80 and we could aim for the 190, Happy days How'd you find out job application rates for last year? I'd be interested to see where we stand on that front. 15 - 20 weeks sounds like forever - hopefully one day we'll be laughing about this sat on a beach in SA!

Hey JetBlast, We are bang on 80 points including the 5 points for 190 nomination. We needed high points to be able to apply so just scraped in. Any idea how they prioritise them for processing? Ive searched and cant find anything but I hate waiting! ah well, fingers crossed [emoji16]

Oh no! Thats only just updated, its said 9-10 weeks for quite a while tho, gah! nothings ever simple, fingers crossed they work through them faster. Great news on the IELTS results, well done, we needed the 20 points too, my other half wont shut up about how he is a master of english now! [emoji23] At least we know all this hard work and waiting is worthwhile, looking forward to bringing up our little ladies in the sunshine [emoji16]

How's everyone getting on? we've just put our EOI in and our application to South Australia for State Sponsorship ... 9-10 weeks processing time, so now we wait! fingers crossed :) We spent ages writing a 2 page commitment statement only to find a character limit of 500 on the application! A small paragraph! Argh, anyhoo, all submitted now Jonandsophie - fingers crossed your skills assessment comes in faster :)

and Jetblast, i cant believe how expensive this whole process is going to be ... but we've never felt more certain that we're doing the right thing, we've committed to it all. Started getting our pets ready to fly and the rabies vaccine and bloods are expensive! They've passed the antibody check tho and will be good to fly in December ... fingers crossed our visa comes through for then too! would love to be in oz before the year is out [emoji41]

Ive been trying to load it all morning, website kept freezing on me - guess their are plenty of us in the same boat checking our chances! We are good to go, applying for the 190 this week! whoop, its felt like a long wait :)

I just want to get something submitted now before they change anymore of the goalposts! Are you looking at South Australia too?
