  1. Ooooo exciting times, good luck. Im open to it taking a while but Im hoping we could be one of the lucky ones ... Im happy so long as we make it over this year (I said that last year too, then SA had mega processing times for sponsorship!)
  2. Thanks guys, think we'll leave the cv's for now and save the precious upload slots in case they do request extra info. all the info off a cv is on the form 80 anyhoo.
  3. oh no! fingers crossed it comes through and you guys get it uploaded before the CO looks at your file. Ive been scouring the net looking at what extra documents they request- all in the interest of making sure we have a complete file to hopefully get a direct grant! most of it is uploaded already, form 80s, payslips, etc etc only thing I've found is our CVs, has everyone else uploaded their current CV? surely its all covered in the Form80 anyhoo - all I can find is a paper copy of mine from 2009! oops! meh!
  4. Yeah, I think this is your round Jetblast! [emoji23] We are hoping to leave 2/3 months after the visa is granted. so it all lies in the hands of our case officer really. that should give us the time we need to sort out some loose ends ... May would be pretty neat
  5. Welcome, just so you know ...First person to arrive in SA is buying the beers on Henley beach, its turning into a big round [emoji23]
  6. Hi, Welcome, A group of SA 190 / 489 peeps in here, all just a touch ahead of you [emoji16]https://www.pomsinoz.com/applications/tapatalk/index.php?/topic/202076-High-Points-for-489/190---South-Australia
  7. and there I was thinking you were buying the beers for henley beach [emoji23] Fingers crossed your eye gets sorted soon, hopefully everyone else starts hearing back soon too. we are 45 days in and no contact yet, hoping for a direct grant out of the blue, but we'll be happy with a visa at any time, even if we have to wait for it [emoji41]
  8. Congrats JetBlast, thats fantastic news, when do you think you'll make the move?
  9. Thanks, might ship a pack or two then [emoji3]
  10. Happy New Year SA Visa buddies! Here's hoping that 2019 brings us all a long haul one way flight! [emoji16]
  11. We thought the same, our date is the 29th Nov, date of our medicals, suddenly feels quite definite hey [emoji3]
  12. Interesting point, I found Aussie Huggies didnt seem as absorbant or as comfortable as UK pampers too... one question tho would it incur a customs charge if we ship packs of unopened nappies?
  13. just seen you are starting the Rabies with your cats, our pets were done in the summer and are free to travel now, just the 45days worth of other bits and bobs to do. About to look into the Import certs for them as they are valid for 12months. who are you thinking of flying them with? Petair look good but London is a good way by van to then journey to oz.
  14. congrats Dan, thats great news, when do you think you'll move over? nice to see they dont completely shutdown for christmas We are putting our house on the Market in January, and moving into a rental so no chain at our end and luckily houses are selling well here at the minute so fingers crossed it wont be on the market too long If something goes terribly wrong and we dont get the grant then we 100% want to move house anyway so all good :)
  15. Merry Christmas everyone, just seen on another post that the case officers are now all on holiday until the new year and that some of them take annual leave until Australia day to have a long holiday! meh! looks like grants may slow down a bit. We are thinking of a 2/3 month pack up and go period from visa grant so Feb grant - April-May flight which would be pretty awesome.
  16. @jonno1981 Great news about your medical. I bet thats a relief for you all. @jonandsophietravel I knew you'd catch us up [emoji16] So looks like the majority of us in here are front loaded and awaiting good news now. fingers crossed everyone that we are the lucky ones that hear back in 2-3months [emoji846]
  17. fingers crossed, that would be awesome, hope its not just the case officers getting a few cases off their workload before they have a huge christmas holiday! The schools all have the summer break over Christmas in Oz, dont they? Could you post the link for the spreadsheet?
  18. Congrats guys, I knew you'd catch us up! We finally submitted last week, medicals on Monday so we are all front loaded and hopefully we'll get there before the medicals expire in 12 months! We've spent the extra time trying to make sure our application is as complete as possible so we can 'fingers crossed' get a direct grant. Been searching to see what extra information the case officer's request and uploading those too. They seem to request form 80s and proof of employment quite often so payslips and form 80 added! I'd love to be one of the lucky ones who get a direct grant in 3 months! Although I did see someone get one in 44 days! How awesome would that be! Good luck everyone [emoji16]
  19. hey jetblast, sounds like all is going well, what kind of questions did they ask you?
  20. Awesome news Jenki, things are coming together nicely. Hopefully, we're all joining our final queue now :) Looking forward to meeting everyone next year on henley beach.
  21. Sorry I'm being a bit quiet, things are busy here. hows everyone getting on? Congrats to everyone who has got sponsored and Jon great news that the processing time is reducing still :)

  24. we are just over halfway through the application, hoping to submit this week, taking my time over it so its right [emoji3] we are going to arrange the health checks etc and front load. We are hoping to be one of the 3 month direct grant lucky ones! but we'll see... current processing times 489 ... 8 - 11 months 190 ... 7 - 8 months How's everyone else getting on? remember first ones to get to SA are buying the beers [emoji6]
