The other Parent visa is up to 30 years? Are there any instances where they accept at a significantly shorter time-frame? Thanks Marisawright, James

Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I've been on here, I hope you can help with this questions. I'm looking to get my parents on the above visa, however I'm just wondering about some of the requirements. I've spent 2 years in Australia on a WHV and recently been granted a 189 skilled independent visa, at approximately 2 years and 3months post arrival. Am I eligible to apply for my parents? Or do I need to have spend 2 years AS a permanent resident. Thanks for all your help & support, James

Hi @SimonandSian, Apologies for the late reply. Only just checked the forum! That's awesome! Good luck to you both! I'm moving out early to mid November this year to Melbourne. Visa got granted yesterday 12/09/17 after 4/12 wait. I went out a few years back on a WHV and did the exams etc. Nightmare process isn't it. Have you done them? How's your planning coming along? Cheers James

@cornishlad how long did it take you to get a CO? I've applied with Physio. I'm from the UK and front loaded all my docs on 25/05/17 and yet to hear any news. I'm well aware their is a delay in processing! -

Hi Guys, I've preloaded all my documents for a 189 visa application late May and one of my references from a previous job is black and white due to the actual header with the job title being that colour. If it's an excellent copy will that matter? Has any one had any experience with this? Any help would be hugely appreciated. Kind Regards J

Does this mean they won't offer any more visa's until July? Do you get notified of the Adelaide/Brisbane team once a case officer has been applied? Thanks, J- 333 replies

Yeah it's been time consuming. Thats fine, I've been told by many others to get them done before in an attempt to avoid excess time. I understand it's a year before they run out, hoping to get out way before that. Regards

Sat them and got full AHPRA and APC, done medicals and police check.

Hi all, New to this thread and understand that the average processing times are 5-7 months as stated on the website. Does anyone know the processing times of a Physiotherapist? Going to submit my expression of interest this week. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm moving from the UK with 65 points. However as of May 30th i'll have 70 points - is it worth me waiting for this? Regards James
