    Contributory Parent Visa

The other Parent visa is up to 30 years? Are there any instances where they accept at a significantly shorter time-frame? Thanks Marisawright, James

    Contributory Parent Visa

Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I've been on here, I hope you can help with this questions. I'm looking to get my parents on the above visa, however I'm just wondering about some of the requirements. I've spent 2 years in Australia on a WHV and recently been granted a 189 skilled independent visa, at approximately 2 years and 3months post arrival. Am I eligible to apply for my parents? Or do I need to have spend 2 years AS a permanent resident. Thanks for all your help & support, James

189 Skilled - Visa Application in..... anyone else?

Hi @SimonandSian, Apologies for the late reply. Only just checked the forum! That's awesome! Good luck to you both! I'm moving out early to mid November this year to Melbourne. Visa got granted yesterday 12/09/17 after 4/12 wait. I went out a few years back on a WHV and did the exams etc. Nightmare process isn't it. Have you done them? How's your planning coming along? Cheers James

Got an Invitation to apply 189 visa.

@cornishlad how long did it take you to get a CO? I've applied with Physio. I'm from the UK and front loaded all my docs on 25/05/17 and yet to hear any news. I'm well aware their is a delay in processing!

I just went for it. If your application is relatively straight forward then it's easy enough to follow. If it's complicated then most experienced users on here recommend a migration agent.

That's awesome! Where you from? I know, some people seem to get them quick, others seem to take forever and there's no real correlation. Headed to Melbourne! Yourself?
