  1. Hi Balwick, I am in a similar situation and could use some advice as I am not sure the best route for me to get PR. If you change role with new visa and new job role does this mean that you are no longer on the grandfather agreement and you will no be eligible for PR after 2 years as you will be on the TSS stream? Or if you change employer / role are you eligible for PR after 2 years with them if they nominate? I am on a 457 which runs out next May and I am looking for a new employer to take over my sponsorship or issue a new one. My next step needs to be one so that I am eligible for PR. 9 years in Australia and soon to be 6years sponsored. Thanks for any advice.
  2. Hey, I am looking for advice as I may have to move to a regional postcode to find work to try and get PR through direct entry. My friends and family are in Sydney and I do not want to move, however if I have to move out for a year or so I will. My question is, what is the closet area to Sydney which is classified as regional. Once I find a company and visa is granted do I immediately get PR? Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Thank you for your reply. Could you suggest reasons why a business would not sign it? They have not looked into it either. I would be paying for the whole thing also. If they were to replace me they would have to pay someone more than my current wage. I have no intention of leaving the company and they no this. They will have to take some action next year when my visa expires either way. When you you ask about elegibility do you mean the business (training bench marks etc) or me personally? I am elegible for it through TNS as I’ve completed my 2 years. Thanks for listening.
  4. Hi, I am a British, 34 and I have been in Australia almost 9years, living in NSW. I have been sponsored with my company for 3.5years and it appears they will not sign my PR for reasons I do not know. My old agent messed up my skills assessment as a Project Administrator and it got rejected so that Avenue is closed and I am now sponsored as a Contract Administrator. My English wife has a small beauty business, we have 2 small children born here and want to stay but my employer is dictating my family’s future which is causing immense stress. Does anyone know of special cases or what I can do? I am not skilled enough to go on the high level sceme. If I leave my job I do not believe I have any other option to get Residency. I would of hoped after all my time here, kids born here , business, I support the community out of work they would be a special case. I hate the fact I am not in control of my family’s future which is causing immense stress. My current visa expires next May 2019. Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hi, I am hoping someone can shed some light on this sticky situation I am in as I have had mixed responses back from agents. My 4 year 457 as an Project Administrator is up for renewal on end of this month and I would be at my 2 year sponsorship stage with my second company in April making me eligible for PR then. Any new 457 applications for a Project Admin has to have a positive skills assessment or relevant qualifications which I do not have. I can't apply for a Project Administrator so I am thinking if go for a 457 as a contract administrator (promotion?) working for the same company / ABN / building etc but a slightly different role can this count towards my 2 years? I am hoping as it is the same anzsco code that it will. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance
  6. Hi guys, please advise if you can ! A friend has offered to nominate me through 186 direct entry and employ me full time, I am unsure if it is visible or not? I should be getting a positive skills assessment as a Project Administrator and I am wondering if this would work with a brick laying building company willing to nominate me, who sponsors 2 people and employs approx 12 others who are all brick layers? As a company that is nominating what requirements to they have to have and provide? I believe they have to offer you a contract of employment and provide an org chart to show where you fit in, meet training requirements is there anything else? Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks for your responses guys. If I get to 2days before my visa expires and I still have not luck in finding a sponsor, would you agree it would be best to get my current employer to cancel my contract with the company which would end my 457 and then give me 60days to get another sponsor locked in? Would I have to leave the country? Thanks again..... Been here for over 7 years, 2 young kids born here, wife has a small business and I still have one foot on the plane...what a joke.
  8. Hey guys, Any help greatly appreciated... My 457 expires end of January 2017 and I am unsure if I can get another sponsor in time although I am actively looking and having interviews. If I have not lodged anything before the visa expires will I get 60 or 90 days to leave or is there anyway of getting a bridging visa to give me more time to finalise with a new employer? Thanks in advance....stressful times!
  9. Hi Bungo, Thanks for your reply, My visa details are Business Entry (Class UC) Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) visa - Program or Project Administrator. I live in Sydney. I have set up a home in Sydney and it would be mean moving which we do not have to do if possible. I believe all those visa's means moving out of NSW.
  10. Hi, I Desperately need some help as me and my family are in trouble. My 457 visa expires in Jan and to re apply I needed a skills assessment which will be issued shortly as the changed the laws since almost 4 years ago (anyone re applying for Project Admin Role needs a relevant qualification, I obtained a diploma in Project Management) Once I get the skills assessment I can be nominated for 186 as a Project Administrator/ Manager. If the 457 gets renewed and I get to April I will of been with my company for 2 years and can get PR through the transition stream, either way my boss is not keen on either and wants to keep me tied to the company. The same thing haopened with my last sponsor, I did 2 years and they wouldn't put my forward. I have a English wife and 2 young children and I have been here for over 7years, this is really stressing my family's life out, can anyone offer a suggestion or ways I do not have to rely on the company ? Can I put this application in myself? Any help greatly appreciated.
