It’s a year from when the visa is granted. @Rosiejaq I will hope things work out for you soon. There was three days were our AOS was rejected. Our daughter immediately went to centrelink and they were puzzled. As all seemed fine. She insisted they place a note for a return phone call to explain. Which they did on day 3, but could not clarify why the rejection. A day later it was accepted.

Good Morning, our visa has bee granted today. 7th October 19. Can anyone please clarify. It states on the Visa that we must enter Australia before 7th October 2020. But I thought I read something that you must enter before police checks or medical runs out. Much appreciated.

Today we have been asked for 2nd payment towards our visa.
I really don’t wont to get this wrong. As it’s such a lot of money.
i have a west pac account where we can pay by Bpay. My question is when I make the payment how will I receive a receipt if I do this online. As I believe I need to send the receipt to immigration for proof of payment.
appreciate your advice please.

@Marilyn you need to pop into your local Vic roads department within 6months of entering. They will help you exchange your licence to a full Australian licence. No test required. I know this is correct for Melbourne.

@Kathss56 I might have it wrong? Commonwealth bank conformation has accepted our payment. I didn’t say AOS has been accepted.

@ielectric Evening, well our daughter in Melbourne lodged her AoS application using her MyGov account. She Visited Centrelink office five weeks ago to prove her identity and this week she had a phone call asking for the AOS payment and details of opening a commonwealth bank account. She Opened the account, made payment. I didn’t know that the bond for the AOS $14000, which if not used, accumulates interest 1.35 p.a. just waiting for letter of acceptance to forward to our agent. Have you heard from them yet?

AOS has asked for payment. Amazing how things are speeding up fast and furious. 48 months so far from lodging 143.

@Rosiejaq we opened a Westpac account when visiting family Four years ago. We’ve transferred funds over the years and not once have we been charge by Westpac. Hope things are working out for you regarding AOS. I can see your still waiting.

Hi, as a U.K. Driving license holder I believe you won't have to take a test , but only require to make an appointment at VIC ROADS department. Can't find anything on line regards penalty points thou.

@michaleasmum we didn’t have to wait long for a medical appointment luckily. When seeing the doctor he told us there and then all was clear and asked us if we wanted a report emailed to us. We were sent the document with a zip code and password and I printed the the document for my file. We paid £295 each for medicals. I believe eve the cost of a single AOS is $10,000.

Oh near hoopers crossing. We going to Doreen north of Melbourne. Geelong is beautiful. Wouldn’t mind a place by the coast. Houses a bit pricey thou.

Our daughter has done the AOS and now probably waiting again for more news. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. keep in touch. X

Really happy for you. I’m so pleased the 143 visa are moving on. May I ask if you have registered an immi account online? Do I need to wait till I have a case officer.
