  1. Hi, we applied for our 143 in sept 15. We’re still waiting for an email. Probably be another few months as they are only up to July 15. Keep smiling.
  2. Assurance of Support Thank you LindaH27 for the update. I found the info from some previous pages and obviously could not see an update. So pleased it stayed the same. Thanks again.
  3. If your Assurance of Support has not been finalised before 1 April 2019 then the bond increase will apply. The new fees from this date are as follows: Main Applicant $15,000 AUD (previously $10,000 AUD) Secondary Applicant $6,000 AUD (previously $4,000 AUD) Keep the pennies coming in to pay for our dream.
  4. Question please. Is it necessary to open an immiAccount online to process anything with the 143 visa?
  5. Hi Rosie, yes your not going crazy. This Sunday 3rd February did state for 143 it said July 15. Processing times 49 months. Four years.

  7. Appreciate the speedy response Marisa and Allan. I will definitely take on your advise. Looking forward to hearing something in 2019.
  8. May I ask everyone what is the preferred option for my questions. We are lucky to be in a position that we have the funds for the AOS. At what stage would you put your house on the market to sell.? 1. When we get a case worker? 2. When medicals and form 80 excepted. 3. When visa is granted. I so need to get this right. As we made the mistake of selling to soon and rented for a year. Now in another property waiting for a case worker. Appreciate any thoughts.
  9. A merry Christmas to you. I’m here in Melbourne celebrating Christmas with family. Having an amazing time.

We applied two weeks after you Michaela on 17 th September 2015.

we still haven’t heard anything. Would you mind please when you do hear from immigration let me know. We’ve waited 39 months and might have to wait another 10 months. But who knows.

    Best wishes Jessey J

Merry Christmas, to you from a miserable (well I am anyway) UK. Daughter SIL and 19 month old grandson on Gold Coast.

Like you no news, am going to apply for another 600 in April, hopefully by then might have been asked for medical and police checks???

I will certainly let you know when I hear anything I will certainly let you know.

Hopefully 19 will be our year!

      Happy New Year michaelasmum

  10. Wishing you all a Merry hot Christmas here in Melbourne. It’s been 39 months waiting for immigration to pick up our visa papers. Probably waiting another 10 months for some movement. We applied in September 2015. Has anyone who applied the same month received anything from immigration? I would like to tie up with others keep tabs on progress. May you all enjoy your day. From Jessey J
  11. Hi Is there anyone waiting out there that applied for 143 in November 2014 ? Would be nice to know who will be the next to be contacted by immigration? look forward to hearing from you.
  12. I truly hope that someone in immigration read these posts. I think it's totally disgusting how they can play with people emotions. We are Parents Who want to Work and not live off the government. We've bought up our children that way and that's why they have done so well. We are willing to pay the fee for the 143. But i think it's diabolical if the fee increases mid term. For thoes Parents who have gone over with the 173 I'm truly worried for. As when they need to apply for the 143 I hope the fee will not change for them when they first applied. It sure is a stressful process but I keep saying to myself it will be so worth it, being with loved ones again. This is what SBS News Au had to say. The government is remaining tight-lipped on the finer details of a new temporary parent visa announced yesterday, which will be officially outlined in Tuesday’s Budget. But SBS World News understands the new temporary visa - which allows migrant parents to stay in Australia for up to 10 years, and costs up to $20,000 - will sit alongside current visa options, rather than replace them. There had been concern among applicants and migration agents that the temporary visa would replace the two permanent migration options – the government currently offers a $5,935 visa with a 30-year wait period and another for over $47,000 with a three-year wait period. But while those options will remain, they could potentially see significant price rises in next week’s Budget, a measure recommended by the Productivity Commission last year.
  13. Hello Mrs Bee, I to applied for our visa in September 15. Ours is a 143 A friend of ours applied in July 14 and I have been tracking his progress all the way. His visa was granted February 17. He moved over 6 months early with a 600 visa. So it took 30 months in total. Might be an idea to get yourself a years visa if your planning to go September 17. It takes two week to process a 600 visa. Hope this gives you some idea of visa delays. Best regards JJ
  14. Hi Geoff and Gill, wow thanks ever so for the info. Nice area Caroline springs and diggers rest is not far to your family for future baby sitting . I will have to check out Mimosa Homes see if they build near Doreen north west of the city. Our daughter and her husband have two children living in Doreen. We can't wait to be with them. Im impressed with the building process. The quality, style, diagnosed and defiantly the cost. You get your money's worth. Yes there might be a few hiccups along the way. The finished product looks amazing. All the best for tomorrow.
  15. Hello Geof and Gill, best of luck for tomorrow's move and hope all goes smoothly for you. We are waiting for a completion date for our move. It's so scary as we have lived and loved our house for 20 years. We to are renting to wait. We have been thinking of buying a land and build package. May I ask when you found the land, did it take long to arrange for building plans and permission. Did you seek a builder or was one allocated to you. I hear that to build you pay as you build each stage. Looks like you got so much done. Were you in Australia for long to arrange all of this. Appreciate any info as we are one step behind you. Many thanks JJ
  16. Hi Julie, thank you for the response. I was thinking that the medical and police checks were the two main obstacles. I did not realise you could ask for the HAP number thou. Great I will chase them up next year. As its only 11 months down the rocky road for us. Keep your hopes high. ??
  17. Evening all, regarding the 143 permanent parent visa. Once the health and police checks have passed. What are the chances of the visa Not being granted. Just wondering if anyone has an idea. Regards JJ
  18. Hi Lorraine cheers for the reply, omg small world. Really in Hampshire. Wow 18 months. Sounds great. Bet you've seen a lot out there. Great talking but me bed is calling me. Thanks again. JJ
  19. Hi ch128, not sure anyone can answer your question. Would you mind giving us an idea of what visa your applying for and when you applied. Someone then be able to help. I'm new to this wonderful forum too. It's taken me a while to get my head round it. Look forward to hearing from you JJ.
  20. Hello Mrs Bee, JJ here and it looks like Christmas 2017 that I'm estimating our visa will be granted. So far it's a 26 month process. I'm hoping Immi catch up and don't delay things. Luckily I'm busy working and time is moving quick.
  21. Hi Julie, I feel for your waiting. It's a long time. I did an auto reply to IMMI today and they are dealing with 1st of June 2014. We were visiting in February this year and went to Seaford beach. Not to far from Safety beach. The sea is crystal clear and warm, yellow sand and beach had a hand full of people. Our family are in Doreen.
  22. Hi Lorraine cheers for the reply, omg small world. Really in Hampshire. Wow 18 months. Sounds great. Bet you've seen a lot out there. Great talking but me bed is calling me. Thanks again. JJ
  23. Yee ha, first reply. Thank you Bev for the quick reply. Didn't expect one soon. We knew before applying that it's a long process. But it seems like we a living in a time void. Everything seems to go slow. Still it's almost a full year we applied and that's come round. Yeh were on the housing market and hope to rent once sold. Sorting out stuff and reducing what we are taking is slowly getting there. When was the last time you visited your daughter. We were out there this February. So missing the grand kids. regards JJ
