  1. We are planning to move to victoria mainly Melbourne in july 2016 My wife has done ACCA and is an associate member at present, Kindly advise is she considered a registered accountant in Australia or does she have to do further studies to pursue her career in accounting and finance, do u think she has any scope here. She has totally 7 years of experence. In your opinion what would be better place to move with her educational background to seek employment.

  3. Good day, I am a sailing ship master, and have recently got my PR. I intend to enter Australia (Melbourne) around mid July 2016 to save on the tax of the previous year. My concern is: 1) I would be transferring say about 50,000 AUD to start life in Australia. I assume the same is enough for atleast 6 months before i start sailing again (correct me if i am wrong) Then as and when needed i would transfer the amount depending on what is my job housing & living situation there. Will i be taxed on previous income (the 50,000 $ I am going to transfer) earned before i came to Australia. Is there any limit to which I can transfer funds to Australia before getting taxed. I am aware that I will have to pay the tax on the income I earn after getting the PR. Also is it advisable to transfer all the amount in 1 go or better do it in installments. 2) If I continue sailing with my present firm which is a company based in Dubai, My employer will not be paying my taxes, in that case how is the accounting of the Super done? 3) What document will I have to produce for showing my earning we only get a contract and we get payslips which is just on a plain paper. 4) My salary is paid in USD can i keep those usd in a fixed deposit in the bank for future use?

  5. the PCC details you can get from the australia immigration website. I had done panama, liberia, hong kong and bahamas flag. I applied exactly the way the website guided me and all the PCC were either posted home or sent to the Australian authority. https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Char With respect to payslips if you have been filing your taxes you will have a document showing that. if not you can prove it from your bank statements. Also ask them to give you the statutory declaration form fro good moral character for filling and fill it in so that you dont have to runaround at the last minute for your PCC.
  6. What is the scene for getting a job in the accountancy stream in Darwin. I am yet deciding which portion of Australia should I emigrate to. Darwin is on my mind as it is not so developed , and living standard may be low , correct me if I am wrong please

  8. Incase while emigrating and bring say 1,50,000 AUD to Australia, are those included in my tax returns for that year?
  9. Incase you are a seaman (CREW OF A SHIP) and are sailing on merchant ships, do you have any tax exemptions as per the Australian tax code ? Also why does the section 23 AF / 23 ag not apply to us ? Being a high salary and being away from family incurs a tax of around 2 months salary? IS there any way we can get a rebate, or maybe part of the salary is exempted for tax purposes.
