  1. Just got my citizenship yesterday. Well it has been such a long journey for me to find a place to belong and it is this country. The citizenship ceremony went well with all guest speeches until the moment they handed out the citizenship certificates and thing began to mess up. People who already received their citizenship certificates started going all around, children running, screaming and crying... There was even no conclusion for the ceremony, the refreshment, well, I didnt taste it. Well I guess I cant expect more than that in a city with crowded migrants. Anyway, one thing for sure, I am so proud to be a part of this beautiful country. As one of our guest speaker mentioned that it was "you", the migrants who are going to make this country a better place, not those who were born here. So people of this forum, you have been through challenges to prove that you are deserved all best things, you should be proud of yourselves now. Good luck for those who are still waiting and I hope you will enjoy your achievement as much as I do. P.S: Passport application is another nightmare. Make sure you have all the original documents with you (in my case: citizenship cert, old passport, and change of name cert, driver licence). Make sure you fill all pages in the application, a (spare) guarantor if you can, to be with you on the spot (as my passport photo was too big in comparison with the standard, luckily I had another guarantor with me so that I didnt have to waste another working day). And for application in Post, some place you have to make appointments, some you dont have too, if you come early, you can finish soon and dont have to queue so long). When I left the Post, there was a line with more than 10 pp. :)))

  4. I know it is funny to ask but does the process to enroll Medical take long, like an hour? and what documents they request? does anyone know? I can only take 1 hour late from work, early tomorrow morning.
  5. Thank you Zet, I will try to do Medicare tomorrow and cancel the insurance this Saturday.
  6. also thank you someone who has updated the doc on my behalf. you guys are amazing.
  7. I am not quite sure if it is right, but the whole documents is from NSW PESE. so may be mine was grant by NSW. I have a question: Can I cancel my working visa insurance now? and get the Medicare by tomorrow? Anyone who have experienced this stage, please inform us to know what we need to know after PR grant please?
  8. thank you, I definitely need to fly back into my mom's arms. I keep waiting for your good news.
  9. guys, my MA just called. My PR is now grant. Thank you you guys for the great support so far. I will still be around waiting for others getting their great news. I am so happy right now. such a relief for 7 years up and down.
  10. good day everyone, and best wishes to all of us. I am planning to travel interstate in New Year, do you think I should book tickets now or wait until PR grant?
  11. Yes, if so, it couldn't be better shri. Then I can book my tickets to see my family out there.
  12. actually I am trying to stay patiently. what will be will be right? thank you for your concern, Chad. Feeling really good when having you guys throughout this challenging journey.
  13. Yes, Chad, I emailed my MA couple days ago and got a very general answer from him, saying I have to wait 3-6months and he also expected mine coming in next month, haha. I'd better wait from this forum rather than asking him any further.
