  1. Hi again Jade, That's not bad at all with Emirates, where are you flying from? There are quite a few good hostels in Sydney, if i were you I would look at YHA Sydney(there are a few), Bounce, Wake up or Jackaroo. They seem to be the ones that come up most. I'm staying in the YHA Sydney Railway Square for the first two weeks. I'll add you on FB as we seem to be going around the same time
  2. I'll be around for a while I think. I should think I will still be there at the beginning of March!
  3. I went Coral... Cause I'm a total girl haha no other reason. Yeah Alix they will:laugh: x Jade.. I'm thinking the same, I might change if I go travelling on the way back!
  4. Stacey you can get Tripp from Debenhams aswell :-). I've just been reading reviews and it popped up. Me and Alix sound like Tripp sales reps haha
  5. I'm staying in YHA Railway Square for the first two weeks. Mainly because I've got a membership and it's clean, got good reviews and was only $30 more than Jackaroo(My second choice). It's also in a good location. Bounce and Wake up looked really good too, althoug I did find Bounce slightly out of my price range- but maybe that was just for the dates I was looking for. I've also booked a hotel for the first two nights to help with the Jetlag. I don't want to meet people and be grumpy- not a very good first impression haha
  6. We'll probably get them on the same day Alix, so we'll have to compare notes haha
  7. Well that's good she said that!! haha Stacey that sounbds about right. I'm sure we'll soon find out. I'm sure they're fine and we're just overthinking it lol
  8. I've ordered mine, I went for the Coral. Haha yes you have Stacey  and Alix, you'll love it. You are both bad influences... I don't leave till Feb 1st :biglaugh:
  9. Oh dear that's not good lol. I'm hoping as a reputable company with a guarantee it will be quite durable. I love 4 wheeled cases... I'm a geek like that haha
  10. Yayy. I want to order mine now... I might just do it lol
  11. I know Alix haha I didn't think I'd be taking luggage this seriously. I keep changing my mind now(I blame Stacey ). Now I'm thinking about one a bit like this--
  12. I don't plan on bringing a huge amount. A small amount of clothes mix and match. An interview outfit... I know I can buy that out there but i'm picky when it comes to work clothes(only work clothes... strange huh?). Ipad, Phone(unlocked). Then probably Photos and a few trinkets. I know Ill buy most out there... I always lose weight in hot countries, every time haha think it's due to the fact I eat more in cold weather maybe?! So there's no point in taking too many clothes.
  13. Stats are below . I'm really not planning on taking a lot so medium sized will do me fine! This case will just be for clothes and the like. Valubles will be in my over the shoulder carry on. 14. I am not a backpack kind of girl, like you Stacey I have some back issues. I've picked my suitcase and it is a Tripp one... I may change once I'm out there but this will do me to start with... and its currently only £49
  15. Starting a thread for those who are arriving in February. I touch down on the 3rd in Sydney Anyone else?
  16. . Going a bit later than I wanted now as prices went a bit weird, so got it cheaper to go on the 1st Feb!
  17. I'm all booked up  Flights booked, first 2 nights at a hotel booked, first two weeks accommodation booked. SO excited!! Australia I'll see you in 2016. :jiggy:
  18. Thats a good idea to do a taster I'm sure you'll love it. Ahh i forgot to mention, mine is one way haha. there's no point in booking a return by the time I have to pay for a date change and so on. I'm flying from Heathrow. Yeah I'm booking via Singapores website. I prefer to do things direct with the company incase of any issues. Yes SO much lol. I've got a big to-do list, will abe worth it though. Are you just going on a tourist visa then? x
  19. Yeah that's a plan we definitley should if we end up in the same place at the same time! We'll have to keep in contact. Ahh that sounds amazing, you'll have such a good time. I'm going for a year on a WHV so I have a bit more time :-) lol I'm booking with Singapore and it's costing me £630... I could've got it cheaper with other airlines but i knew I wanted to fly with them and book direct so I could pick my seat as soon as I book! I'm booking it tomorrow actuallly :D so excited. It's my first long haul flight so I'm being a bit picky, maybe if i'd flown long haul before I wouldn't mind so much. x
  20. Great minds again lol. It does indeed
  21. I agree Stacey. Both Maria Island and Blue Mountains both look gorgeous. They're both on my Aus Bucket List.
  22. Hi Rach, Welcome to the forum! FINALLY, someone else who is going in January haha :-). I'm booking my flight on Monday and I'm currently looking at the 19th. If not then definitely in that week at some point. I'm starting in Sydney too! I'm booking my first two or so weeks accomodation and just seeing what I want to do from there! What are your plans? Kay x
  23. I'm going to start in Sydney and be a tourist for a couple of weeks then just see where my feet take me, I'll prob head to Melbourne after a while to be honest.
