  1. I would just start getting his CV out there, look at job websites to see what centres are looking and apply to them asking if they offer sponsorship. But like I've said before probably best to get the qualifications assessed first as the employers will want to know what level he is
  2. Maybe contact a immigration agent and confirm it with them but it is definitely on there
  3. Also this link should direct you to the occupation list http://www.australiaherewecome.com.au/uploads/68161/ufiles/List_of_RSMS_Subclass_187_Occupations_effective_1_July_2015.pdf
  4. I imagine you are looking at the general skilled occupation list, RSMS have a separate occupation list and its on there. Have a read of this link http://www.themigrationplace.com/2015/07/16/child-care-group-leaders-needed-in-regional-australia/ The article was written in 2015 but I contacted a migration agent a couple of weeks ago to see if there had been any changes and they confirmed its still on the list
  5. There's is no specification on the amount of years work experience you need for the visa so it's really down to what experience the employer would be looking for. You have to be level 3 qualified to see if your qualification is the level 3 equivalent in Australia there is a list on the ACECQA website, if your qualification is not listed on there you have to apply to have your qualifications assessed to see what level you are. You normally have to do this before employers will consider you for a job. I'm going to start the process next year as I want to complete my early years foundation degree before we go. Also I don't know if your going alone or with family but for the 187 visa for myself, husband and daughter is around £3500 so something else to think about. Let me know how you get on
  6. There is a RSMS occupation list which has childcare group leader on it. You have to find an employer willing to sponsor you and you can then apply for the 187 visa. The conditions are that you stay with the employer for 2 years and they are based in a regional area, but you do gain permanent residency straight away. If your just looking at going over on a temporary basis the working holiday visa might be best and you can always look for sponsorship when there. Or if your looking at a more permanent move then the 187 visa might be best.
  7. Can I ask what process you used to gain your sponsorship? Did you just send your CV direct to the centres or did you use a recruitment agency? What was the interview process like? My friend has been sponsored by Goodstart Early Learning so I think I'm going to start with them
  8. If your able to look at my previous threads you will see on there. It's on the RSMS list I know 2 people who have just been sponsored as childcare group leader and have gained the 187 visa through the direct entry stream. If you can see my other posts you will see all the information on there from immigration agents
  9. Have a look at the Regional Sponsor Migration 187 visa, if you can get a company to sponsor you as a childcare group leader than you can go down this route.
  10. Thanks for the tip will have a look on Facebook. It's been my dream for many years to live in oz fingers crossed I will get there eventually!!! Good luck with everything and when you get a min let us know how the move goes:) x
  11. That's fantastic news, congrats!! Where abouts in oz are you moving too? You will have to let us know how the visa process goes x
  12. Hi there, again nice to speak to someone in a similar position. U said your moving back to Australia, did u work in childcare when u used to live there? It's really positive to hear that employers were not put of that u were in the uk and needed sponsorship. Let's just hope that childcare group leader stays on the regional sponsorship list this time round:/ u will have to let us know how u get on
  13. It's so nice to finally get to speak with someone in a similar position as myself:) I'm on the 3rd year of my degree in October but I have been thinking about getting my qualifications assessed anyway. Mind u we are still saving and as it would be the 3 of us going over the visas are expensive! I was wondering if I had enough work experience, I've been running my own childcare business from home for the last 5 years and working in a reception class in a primary school 1 day a week for the past year. Not sure if this is enough experience or what their looking for. We were in Brisbane for 4 weeks last October and I spoke to randstad education about getting sponsorship and they seemed really interested, they asked me to get back in touch with them once I have my qualifications assessed. Did many companies get back to you once you sent them your CV? Is it just yourself going over or do u have a family?
  14. Hi, I also have my NVQ level 3 and currently doing the early years foundation degree. You mention that you are able to apply for room leader positions can I ask what visa you are applying for? Is it the regional sponsorship 187 visa? I'm also looking to go down this route and wanted to know if this is the only visa option available. It gives me hope that your friend was sponsored as many people keep saying it's highly unlikely for a company to sponsor you for this position while still in the UK. Where abouts did your friend emigrate too? I'm looking for positions in the Brisbane area
  15. Hi I would also like to know how u got on? I've decided to complete my degree before I have my level 3 assessed.
  16. Good luck with the outcome from ACEQUA, you will have to let us know how you get on. I was going to have my level 3 assessed but thought I might as well wait till I've completed my foundation degree. My level 3 is through CACHE too. Only I've completed my degree I want to try to emigrate to brisbane, that's if I can get sponsorship:/
  17. Hi I would also like to know the outcome you get from ACEQUE. I have my level 3 diploma children and young peoples workforce is this on the same level as NNEB? I'm also on the 2nd year of the early years foundation degree.
  18. Can I ask a quick question, I have a level 3 diploma in children and young people's workforce and will have a early years foundation degree which is 3 years study. I have 4 years work experience with 0 to 5 years will i qualify as a early years childhood teacher in a daycare centre/nursery? I will be having my qualifications assessed with ACECQA in the next month or so but was wondering if anyone could advise me. Thanks
  19. Hi guys, I have a level 3 diploma in children and young people's workforce and half way through my early years degree. I am going to have my level 3 diploma assessed by ACECQA, has anyone else had this qualification assessed and what would it qualify me as? Would I qualify as a early childhood educator?
  20. Hi, I also have the same qualification as your wife and have done a lot of research into any ways of emigrating with this qualification. The only route that I know of is the regional sponsorship visa as childcare group leader. She will firstly need to get her qualification assessed by ACECQA (I have already contacted them regarding this qualification and as it is not a recognised qualification she will need to have to assessed which can be done online). Then she will need to find an employer willing to sponsor her in a regional area which is all western and South Australia, Queensland except the Gold Coast and Brisbane and NSW except Sydney. I have been in contact with Randstad Education in Brisbane who are a recruitment agency who deal with childcare professionals who have been really helpful, they also have a lot of experience in helping people find sponsorship in the childcare industry.
  21. I also have my level 3 and in the process of doing earlys years foundation degree. If you do have your qualifications assessed please could you let me know the outcome
  22. Hi, this is the same route I'm also looking into. I have a level 3 diploma and I'm currently studying a early years degree with the open university. I've done quite a bit of research and there is a regional migration sponsorship list which has childcare group leader, you would have to apply for 187 visa. It's a permanant resident visa but you need to find a employer to sponsor you in an area that's classed as regional australia, you also have to stay with the employer for a minimum of 2 years. Google visa 187 for more info. I'm flying into brisbane a week this Tuesday for a 3 week holiday with my family so going to meet up with some companies. I have an appointment with randstad education they are an employment agency that deal with childcare professionals so might be worth having a look at. I will give you an update when I get back.
  23. Hi guys, how long do you actually have from when your visa is granted to moving out there. We will be going on a 187 visa if that makes any difference?
  24. Ok brilliant! Thanks again for all your help:)
