  1. Thanks so much for the info, thought I was going crazy for a minute lol. Can I just ask how many years work experience is needed for Childcare Group Leader? I have the diploma and I am currently studying an early years degree so just want to make sure I have enough work experience. Thanks again
  2. So just to clarify, you we're able to emigrate as childcare group leader via the RSMS 187 visa route? Also do you know anything about the occupation being taken of the list due to a drafting error by DIBP? This is what I've been told and that it will be put back on the RSMS list. Thanks
  3. This is what Iscah Migration came back with; Childcare Group Leader was eligible under RSMS, we have lodged many of these in the past. When the list came out yesterday, it was not on there, but looks like that is a mistake by DIBP. i have also contacted Go Matilda so will see what they say
  4. Well thanks for all your advice. I have emailed them to see if they can explain the information on their website in relation to childcare group leaders. I find it terrible that these migration 'experts' are getting it so wrong! Surely they must deal with these types of visas on a daily basis. I will update once I hear from them
  5. And here's the announcement which iscah Australian migration made today;Child care group leader was listed under ANZSCO 421111-Child Care Worker. It is one occupation we have found that HAS come off the new 187/RSMS occupation list announced on 1st July 2015.Extra info : Please note we have contacted DIBP and this may be a drafting mistake and DIBP may shortly correct this to reinclude Child Care Group Leader in the RSMS/187 list(Further additional news: DIBP have confirmed to us today that Child Care Group Leader is ok to lodge under RSMS/187)
  6. Here's some information from 'This is Australia migration experts' dated the 3rd September 2014 that I found on the internetChildcare Group LeadersBy This Is Australia On September 3, 2014 · Add Comment · In Work PostsVarious Child Care Centre’s are willing to offer sponsorship for suitable qualified and experienced Child Care Group Leaders, applicants who are currently onshore would be desirable however applicants from overseas will be considered if they are qualified and experienced.Applicants must have a degree or equivalent in Early Childhood studies/children’s services, with 1-2 years works experience.
  7. I just don't understand why a number of migration agents would give out the same false information. It's very strange! I'm not relying on Facebook I just follow a number of Australian company's on Facebook and I'm quoting what they have said, I don't know if it's true or false.
  8. Are you on Facebook, if you type in PR information services for migration and like their page it explains it all there. Also Iscah Australian Migration on Facebook have also announced the same.
  9. It's all so confusing:/ all I know is that I've been looking at the RSMS occupation list on a regular basis for the last 6 months and Childcare Group Leader was defiantly listed on there. And like I previously said it was announced today that one of the changes to the list wAs that Childcare Group Leader has been removed. If you look at PR migration services it tells you a about it on there
  10. I'm not sure of the link, I just googled RSMS 187 sol list and childcare group leader was listed on there, well up till today it was. I contacted Randstad Education based in Brisbane and they were aware of this occupation and said they do help people with sponsorship opportunities for this role. I also contact This is Australia Migration who are based on the Gold Coast and they confirmed the same thing. If you are on Facebook and have a look at PR Information Services for Migration it's on there heres a email I received from them; The occupation of childcare group leader is on the 187 list. It is a skill level 2 meaning you need a relevant level Diploma to meet the criteria. The 187 is a permanent visa option if you have an employer willing to nominate you for a position in regional Australia and you can meet the criteria. The position can only be in regional Australia (regional Australia does not include the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong or Melbourne).
  11. On the regional sponsored migration list for 187 visa. The PR information services for migration have just put this on Facebook; As if the list we have are not enough as of today we got a new list. This list states all occupation available for RSMS (187 visa). And looking at this there is currently no Child Care Group Leaders (Skill Level 2) - ANZSCO 421111 stated which would mean that it can not be used for RSMS anymore. I had been in contact with a couple of agencies who were interested in meeting me in October to discuss sponsorship opportunities as well:(
  12. Finally thought I had found a pathway for me to migrate to Oz as childcare group leader and I've just found out that it's been removed from the RSMS list for 2015-2016. I'm gutted:( we're are coming over for 3 weeks this October and I had interviews with employment agencies and daycare centres lined up, no point now I guess ( has this affected anyone else?
  13. Just a quick update Swimmy, I have had a response from Randstad education and they have advised that they do have sponsorship roles in regional areas and they have asked for a copy of my CV, so maybe something for you to look into.
  14. As far as I know all of Western Australia is classed as a regional area so as long as you can get an employer to sponsor you, you will be able to apply for the visa. Maybe send your CV to the local childcare centres and ask if they do sponsorship. There is an agency based over there called Randstad Education Australia and they deal with childcare vacancys and some of them willing to sponsor.
  15. Hi, I've been looking to emigrate to queensland in a similar position as yourself. After much research I have found out that occupation 'childcare group leader' is on the regional sponsorship occupation list therefore if you can get an employer in a regional area to sponsor you, you can apply for this visa. I contacted a agent in australia for more information and this was their reply 'The occupation of childcare group leader is on the 187 list. · The employee must be nominated by an employer for a full time ongoing position with the business working in a Regional Area, which is offered for at least 2 years. · The employer must have an office in the regional area of Australia you will be nominated to work in. · It is a condition of this visa that the employee remain employed in the regional area you are nominated to work in for a minimum of two years from the date the visa is granted. If not, DIAC has the ability to cancel the visa. · The employer would have to do some labour market testing to demonstrate that no suitable Australian can be found for the position, we will explain the criteria in more detail if you proceed. · There is no training criteria for the employer to meet for this visa subclass, however, if the nominating business is approved as a 457 sponsor they will need to show that they have met the training criteria. · If the employer is prepared to nominate for a Subclass 187 visa, the employee should be able to secure Australian permanent residency and ultimately Australian citizenship. · A skills assessment will not be required for the nominated role. · We would need to demonstrate that the position is a genuine position and that you would be employed in the role. Please call me to discuss further if you can find an employer in a regional area willing to help then we can discuss the position and skills required. -- Seamus Taaffe - Principal FCA ICAA Grad Cert Australian Immigration Law & Practice MARN 0901684 Australia Here We Come Pty Ltd Level 1 376 Punt Road South Yarra Victoria 3141 Australia PO Box 9406 South Yarra Victoria 3141 Australia P 1300 887 818 or + 61 3 9573 5200 F + 61 3 9573 5299 M 0419 360 210 W http://www.australiaherewecome.com.au | Meet the Team »
  16. I've just completed my first year of a early years degree so I'm guessing I should be ok once I have this? Thanks
  17. Hi guys, I have been in contact with TRA skills assessment and they have advised the information below: Is at a comparable level to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification level III or above. (note for a Child Care Centre Manager the minimum requirement is an AQF Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care), I have level 3 diploma for children and young peoples workforce, is this the equivalent? Thanks
  18. So I contacted TRA as advised and I thought I would share some of the info. Looks like the minimum qualification for childcare centre manager is a diploma in early childhood and care. I have level 3 CACHE diploma for the children and young peoples workforce (QCF) so now trying to find out if this is the equivalent? So if I can get the work experience then hopefully having a degree in early years will be a bonus. I have copied below some of the info from TRA for anyone who is interested. An overseas qualification may be comparable to the relevant AQF qualification for the occupation of Child Care Centre Manager if the qualification: Is at a comparable level to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification level III or above. (note for a Child Care Centre Manager the minimum requirement is an AQF Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care), Is relevant to the nominated occupation and includes a range of competencies/subjects directly related to the nominated occupation, and was issued an institution/organisation that is quality assured by a government agency with responsibility for vocational education and training in the country where the qualification was issued. The TRA Migration Skills Assessment Applicant Guidelines requires you to supply evidence of studies and competencies undertaken as part of your program from the institution that awarded the qualification. TRA compares qualifications issued overseas to the relevant Australian Training Package qualification for the nominated occupation when determining relevance. To do this, TRA requires the qualification and the accompanying academic transcript to be provided in the application. TRA refers to a number of Australian and international government and other authoritative sources when assessing the level of a qualification. TRA cannot provide advice about the likely comparability of a specific qualification to the relevant AQF qualification in Australia without conducting an assessment, and for this to occur an application would need to be lodged with TRA. You can submit an AQF qualification obtained through study or via recognition of prior learning.
  19. This is all so confusing!! I'm going to be in Brisbane for 3 weeks in October and have some employers lined up to meet so hopefully I will get more of a insight then. Working with children is the career I want to work in regardless if we stay in the uk or come over to Oz so will not be a waste of time either way. A friend of mine moved out to Oz a couple of years back as a childcare centre manager and she didn't have a degree and went on the sponsorship visa so will have to find out a bit more about that. Will update you if I get anymore info
  20. I don't think that is completely corrected, having spoke to an agent yesterday it's 3 years, voluntary or paid, of which 12 months has to be full time paid work, and this will be counted before or after the degree. For anyone looking to go down this route
  21. Do you know how many years experiance I need as a manager? As far as I know if you have a degree it's 2 years is that correct?
  22. My plan is to work in a nursery full time this September (when my daughter starts school) and then I have 3 years to work my way up and get the experiance I need. I have some contacts in brisbane, a couple of which run daycare centres and manage them. They have said once I get my degree and relevant experiance they would be willing to sponsor me
  23. Looking at childcare centre manager, I also have a good chance of being sponsored but ideally would like the permanant resident visa. Just want to make sure my degree will be recognised. Thanks
