    Wondering where to start

Thanks all for the responses Lparker15 I am very interested in how you get on! I have been managing a nursery for 15 years, have a 4 year degree which puts me as 'over qualified' for my post. I have been looking at the equivalent in Australia 'Children's center manager' in the Brisbane area. But would like to possibly go down the Early Years Teacher route in the future! I will take all your advice on board and start looking into my options. Have a good day :cute:

    Wondering where to start

Thank you most kindly for the responses. I have over 15 years experience in my field and I have friends in OZ who have advised me that my profession (Early Years) is highly sort after. I will have a look at the website that Lady Rainicorn has linked. Thanks again fingers crossed.

    Wondering where to start

Hello everyone. I have today received my Foundation Degree in Early Years, and am now hoping to put my dream of working with children in Australia into action. However I have no idea where to start. Is it possible for me to get a position at a nursery or pre-school in Australia and then move my children and husband out with me? I would be beyond grateful if someone could advise me on where to start. Thanks so much and thanks in advance, Serena x
  4. Hi Flecks Thanks so much for the info I will check the link out. I am still studying at the moment (need to find out what happens with paying my student finance England loan back), and just coming to the end of my Foundation Degree. I was on the path to gaining my full BA (hons) Early Years with the EY teacher course at the end. I've had a look at some of the university websites and it looks like I can transfer some of my credits and finish my BA in Oz, which will give me Teacher status without all the extra courses (and money) they want here in the UK! So fingers crossed it looks to be a beneficial move for my career Good luck with your process, hopefully you will get it sorted positively soon. I really appreciate the reply to my question xxx
  5. Hello. My husband and I are about to start the transfer process from England to Australia. I am about to complete my Foundation degree in Early Years (a 4 year degree) and I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to find out what my career options are in Australia. I have the Certificate in Early Years practice, which is a level 4 Diploma, as well as a myriad of other qualifications and 14 years experience. Thank you so much, as I have no idea where to start. xx
