I was beginning to think what do I do if the grant notice doesn't come but I was worrying for nothing

Hi Harvi and everyone else Visa status is GRANTED as of 30 minutes ago. We are now partying in Bali and so relieved that we will be allowed back in on Sat. Can't tell you how stressful these last few weeks have been. Well you all know about stress. The grant came in an email and is attached electronically to our passports. Well let's hope so or we will be in a pickle on Sat. Hope all you April lodgers have everything ready and they are very poor at communicating they did not acknowledge receipt of money which was nerve racking when you send it by mail. So be prepared to send them stuff and get no response but they are working slowly!!! Good luck to you all. Now to start applying for jobs and getting a mortgage as we no longer have enough money left to buy a house outright!

I have n idea where they got Octber from but they would have to give a different date because they had told us to do our checks so early that they had to change the date our medicals expired on 1 April 2016 so I suppose they thought they would give us an extra six months because not everyone would be ready to go immediately.

I was worried about this too but when they send you the email for the 2nd vac fee it says that if you are in Australia you have to send Immi a scanned copy of your departure within seven days of the vac request. We had to re enter Aus before 28 Oct to activate the parent visa but as we need to get jobs we are leaving immediately as our funds are getting low as you can imagine and also I have a 12 year old son who I need to enrol in school as he has been on an extended holiday. He is not looking forward to school but it will be good for him as he will start to make friends then and hopefully settle as he would go back to the uk tomorrow if he had the choice as he is missing his school friends

Hi Fisher have just looked at exact dates and the assurance of support was lodged on 18 March and the letter that Immi want was not sent until 20 April so just over a month. Bali was cheap for flights and there are cheap places to stay but we decided to splash out a bit as it will be our last holiday for a long while as we have to start job hunting as soon as we get back and join the real world of work. Hope you get your letter soon

Well that's the flights and hotel booked Bali here we come. Leaving on Friday am a bit nervous to be honest but I am sure Immi will do there part and we will be let back in as permanent residents.

Hi Ali the Only options seem to be with a credit card which works out very expensive as they charge for using a card or to send them a bank cheque by post your bank usually charge for this but only about $12. Hope this helps

Hi fisher the letter you need is sent to the person who was your assurer in my Case my daughter I think it took a couple of weeks for her to get it it came from Centrelink I think then my daughter emailed it to me. Are you going back to the uk after your 10 week holiday? Cos if you are then I don't see it being a problem our letter says we have to activate the visa before October 28. Good luck immi aren't the most helpful are they

Well folks it's happened!!!!!!w 2nd vac requested and visa will be granted as soon as we are offshore making plans now to go toBali for a week cant believe it's finally happened at last Hooray Good luck to everyone else waiting xxxx

Hi Fisher i nearly didn't answer the phone as it said no caller id and I tend to not answer those calls but for some reason I answered it. You can imagine my surprise when he told me he was Rod from parent visa centre. I nearly fell through the floor. The reason he phoned was because he wasn't sure which email address to use! As it had changed from .co.uk to . Com I told him they both worked and we had about a 10 minute chat no wonder they are so slow he was in no hurry to end the call. How did you get on withemIling all the documents. My computer wouldn't send them as the files were too big so the only way I managed to send the form 80 was to send mine and my husbands separately. Let's hope they got them.fingers crossed for you too Linda

Well folks have emailed all the relevant forms back to immi so let's see how long it takes to get the next email from them. The case officer who I spoke to today said he was answering emails from 3 days ago so maybe I will get the next email on Thurs asking for the 2nd vac but maybe I am being too optimistic. I think I will start taking bets!!!!!

Hello everybody yippee the lesser spotted case officer has contacted me by phone and email today so now I have to send them scanned copies of police certs and form 80 and bizarrely a copy of AOS confirmation from Centrelink who say immi already have it but who am I to argue. Will keep you posted

Hi reallycant help you there. We went out with only 6 cases between us. We got rid of everything and have started again from scratch. The only things I kept were photo albums which I had been taking over every time I went to visit. Hope someone else has some good info for you

oh my goodness now I am really scared/panicking hVe done my form 80 but don't know how to scan them back as a single pdf as there are 18 pages each can anyone tell me how to do it!! Off on holiday for a week in morning so want it all ready to go if the email comes Linda

Oh crikey now i am starting to stress. Have done uk police checks never gave oz ones a thought . We are in oz on holiday visa been here since Jan 1 will I need to do oz police checks? Help!!
