There is no way I'd let a complete stranger add their boxes to my shipment. Could be anything.
There are lots of things that you would that I wouldn't dream of

Depending how much you have see if you can find someone with a container with empty space. I found someone, put a few boxes in theirs. I saved money, they had some extra $. Everyone wins.

We've started having that discussion. It depends how much my wife's future employer is willing to cover, they said they would cover all costs associated with the move but we don't want to be seen to be taking the mick.
Generally, Australian companies don't have issues spending money - unlike the British.

Seems like possible unintended consequence despite the ministers best intentions.
Hit the nail on the head. I am on the flip side. If I knew my 489 could be extended I would have gone to NZ for a short trip.

It does mean the level of cover required can be reduced.

If they are British and live in the UK they can get Medicare under the reciprocal agreement.

That doesn't sound right. 489 and 491 offshore visa holders needed to have their visas extended to give them more time to get onshore and qualify, but why on earth would they extend visa holders who are onshore?
If you was offshore any time between 01/02/2020 - 14/12/2021 you will receive the extension. Regardless of you’re onshore now and have an 887 application underway.
i assume the said person was overseas for a time and had an exemption to return.

Least they could do after the shabby way they've treated 489/491 holders during the pandemic.
It’s not all good news for some. I came across someone online who was on a 489, applied for the 887. Their 489 expired and was on a bridging visa, they moved to a metro area as they can do on a bridging visa. Their 489 was the. Extended and suddenly active again replacing the bridging visa, as a result they are now in breach of the rules…

In most states, if you are attending an indoor venue you will have to check in and show proof of vaccination. It's very unlikely there will be any special exemptions for citizenship ceremonies.
Some councils may offer an online ceremony. If they do, then everyone will have the option to attend it, nothing to do with vaccination status.
In SA I have never been asked to prove my vaccination status to attend a venue. Nor do I know anyone who has.

The visa rules are managed by the federal government. The visa rules are the same across all states.
You might be getting confused with the quarantine requirements that have recently been reflexed in Queensland.
-
Yes. Once the visa is issued the primary / secondary applicant is no longer a thing. The secondary can apply for the 887 in their own right.

nothing is for free , i would check the exchange rate your are getting with HSBC, i also have HSBC accounts and the actual amount arriving in your other currency account was always better with wise or OFX
Last time I used the service it was a better exchange rate than MoneyCorp that everyone on here seems to rave about.
HSBC provide it as part of their global view current account service.

Use a company like Wise to transfer the money, it will be cheaper than asking your banks to do it. No tax payable.
The OP has a HSBC account - They will transfer it for free.

I live in SA and I pay for Gas, Electricity and water usage and supply. The sewerage charge (part of the water bill) is paid by the landlord. Usually they will pay the whole bill and invoice you for the usage charge.
Council Rates and Emergency Service Levy is paid for by the landlord.
There is no TV Licence.
You will also have pay for internet and contents insurance if you want it. If the property is brand new and has never been connected to NBN you will face a $300 connection fee. If the property has been connected before or is an older existing that has never been connected to NBN there is no connection charge.
You might have to pay for certain pest control services - if you require them - https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/housing/renting-and-letting/renting-privately/during-a-tenancy/Repairs-and-maintenance
There is the bond charge. This money is held by the state government.
This is for South Australia so other states may vary.

Regardless of the expiry date on the certificate the Department of Home affairs accepts certificates dated 3 years ago
QuoteTo prove you have Superior English, show us evidence that in the 3 years before we invite you to apply for the visa, you scored one of the following:
So you should be able to upload your PDF certificate you was issued when you sat the exam?

Where in Australia are you planning on moving to?
It's in the South Australia board so I am going to guess Adelaide.
I live in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide and from my experience you will have enough to live comfortably.

I'm not sure it does. Comparing Aus to UK is really eye-opening. Almost everything you buy in Aus as a consumer, from groceries to hardware to electronic devices, is considerably more expensive than in the UK.
I work in IT and buys millions of dollars of Electronic items every year. I generally find that Australia isn’t more expensive. (I know you said “as a consumer” but it’s still a good indicator).
For example, the base model iPad Air is $899 in Australia. The same device is $1,095 (£579) in the UK.

I think it’s more to do with the area you currently live in unfortunately, I have witnessed and had dealings with far worse in uk and standby my comments it’s a western world problem.
I agree it’s a problem everywhere. I lived in the north of England and now live in Adelaide. It was much worse where I was in the UK compared to here. Some areas have it worse than others - it just depends on what areas you’re comparing.

Hello,
The reciprocal card is for essential care only. I would very much doubt this classes as essential.
Thanks

We're probably being lazy with our words. I'm sure you went through an Immigration desk, unless you were arriving from the EU pre-Brexit.
ah yes - I went through immigration and they are the ones who checked my passport. I always have issues with the electronic gates in the UK. Seem fine in Australia - ironic considering it's a British passport.

Congratulations!

I know someone who's wait for the 887 visa had past the 75% mark published on the website and approaching 90%. They used a form on the website(Global Feedback I think it was called) and a few days later they receive their grant.
