  1. I have used WORLD FIRST 3 times in the last 2 months and they have given me excellent service each time There are no fees or charges with this company and their margin can be as little as 0.3% which amounts to a little over a half a cent Cheers Barry
  2. Hi Lodgement date is the date Perth immi registered receipt of your application Acknowledgement is currently at about 5 months after lodgement date and sets out the timetable for commencement of Police checks, medicals and AOS submission Assessment , ie assignment of CO, is, according to Perth immi running at about 18 months after the lodgement date, but after reading recent posts on POMS it looks to be more like 19 months, so I would say that you will be assigned a CO around about November i think, that after assignment of CO, and if all your docs are in order, and they have in their possession , police checks, favourable medical info and an approved AOS from Centrelink your visa will be granted within weeks, after payment of final VAC of course I am sure that someone will correct me if my perception of the the process is wrong cheers Barry
  3. Hi An auto reply from immi just yesterday stated that they are assessing (assigning COs)143 applications lodged in February 2013
  4. Hi We paid £270 each at the Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester end of June this year
  5. Hi If you google "centre link online. payments estimator" and input your father's circumstances ie. age, seeking work?,retired, etc you get and indicator of the type of benefit he may be entitled to My understanding is that anthing he does receive in the next 10 years will be deducted from the $10000 AOS Bond you have lodged with Centrelink Cheers. Barry
  6. Hi everyone Looks as though Perth immi have finally got their act together and doing what everyone thought they should have been doing from the start and informing applicants when they are about to charge the 1st VAC. One was just left in limbo, wondering if they had actually received the application and having to wait up to 5 months to get your 1st contact from them Barry
  7. Hi According to an auto reply email from WA Perth immi yesterday, they are receipting (which I take to mean processing the 1st VAC)for applications lodged on 5 June and sending out acknowledgement letters for applications lodged on 18 March They say there is a backlog of 5 months sending out acknowledgement letters but with extra manpower now employed, they hope to reduce the current 5 month wait period Barry PS. 5 June relates to offshore applications - onshore date is 21 August
  8. Hi Granting of a 143 visa entitles you to all Medicare benefits immediately on entry to Oz. Unfortunately dental costs and the provision of a free ambulance, should you need one ,are not included If you google "average dental charges 2013- private health.gov.au" you will see tables by State, of the cost of each procedure Ambulance costs vary greatly from state to state but as with dental work you can take out insurance to cover these eventualities Google " income tax calculator 2014 Australia" where you can input your income and it will calculate your tax liability for you Hope this is of some help Cheers. Barry
  9. Hi As I understand it, when the 143 is granted, you have 12 months from the date of the police check or medical whichever is the earliest to to enter (validate the visa) Australia Once that is done you can come and go for 5 years before you need to take up permanent residency Someone please correct me if this is wrong Cheers Barry
  10. Our daughter, the Assurer took the completed forms into Centrelink(not all Centrelink offices deal with the AOS process) and they checked the supporting docs and gave them back to her About 2 weeks later they rang her and conducted an interview over the phone, mostly reiterating her responsibilities as an AOS A few days later she received a request for the bond which she paid into the account she had to open specifically for the purpose with the Commonwealth Bank, which I believe is the only bank allowed to operate these accounts cheers Barry
  11. Hi Jen - Agree with you entirely in addition ,because there are no lodgement dates on GAINWAVE after the application has been acknowledged it is impossible to arrive at any meaningful timeline if you want to obtain your HAP Id you can by emailing WA immi and using the reference HAPLTR in the subject line cheers
  12. Hi this topic has been discussed on "poms in adelaide" just this month google "visa173/143. - poms in adelaide "
  13. Hi again I thought the whole point ,somebody correct me if I am wrong, granting of the 173 entitles you to remain in OZ as long as you apply for the 143 within 2 years of your first entry into OZ on the 173 so a bridging visa is, as I understand it, not required cheers
  14. Hi If you email WA Parents with no subject and just put "hi" in the text, you will receive within a few minutes an auto reply which sets out the timelines for the various visa plus other info cheers
  15. Hi the only way to know that Perth have received your application is to monitor regularly the account which you requested the 1st VAC to be charged to this time last year, our 1st VAC was taken from our account after about 2 weeks. At the moment I think one has to wait about 4 months for the actual acknowledgement of the application Not a very satisfactory arrangement , to say the least cheers
  16. Hi if you look on page 672 on this forum you will find a posting by Allan Collett of GoMatilda which provides a link to the current visa charges As far as I am aware you cannot sponsor your parents until you have been living lawfully in Oz for at least 2 years Hope this helps cheers. Barry
  17. Hi As I have said before, it seems clear to me that you must apply for the 143 within 2 years of your first entry into Australia on the 173 but just to put your mind at rest you should email WA Parents in Perth and ask them to confirm your understanding of the conditions of the 173 On your second point, I am sure that it will make no difference if your son,the sponsor moves to a another city in Australia, but again you can always check with WA Parents in Perth hope this is of help cheers Barry
  18. Hi Piramida On form 47PT question 2 it clearly states that there is a "Limited Application Period" You can apply at any time up to 2 years after your FIRST entry into Australia on the Contributory Parent visa 173 hope this helps cheers
  19. Hi again Yes my wife did declare it on medical history In addition she is also epileptic and on daily medication which she declared and again it did not seem to be an issue As there was nowhere on any of the Oz immi sites to inform you how the results were communicated to you , I emailed WAPerth about a week after the medical took place and they replied quite quickly that "we are satisfied that you meet the health requirements and that we would have informed you that if there had been any issues we would have contacted you immediately and informed you of the issue and directed you to your own GP"
  20. Hi Pri My wife has diabetes, which is controlled by diet and exercise and at the medical last month it did not seem to be an issue of concern and a few days later we found she had been A graded Has your father logged onto the eMedical site yet for him to input his medical history? Is he resident in the UK at the moment? cheers Barry
  21. Hi Included in an auto reply from WA PVC Perth on the 8 July they said they are at present processing (which I take to mean assigning a Case Officer) contributory parent visa applications lodged in January 2013 - Having said that , there is an applicant, who just a couple of days ago on this forum, said he had lodged his application on 16 January 2013 but had not heard from WA PVC Cheers Barry
  22. Hi The form to use for a 143 when already in possession of 173 is Form 47PT In question 2 on that form it sets out time constraints relative to the 173 grant date or entry date into Australia cheers Barry
  23. Hi This info is from 1 year ago We lodged our 143 on 13 June 2013 and the 1st VAC was charged to the credit card on 28 June cheers
  24. Hi Everyone It seems difficult to know which source to believe regarding waiting time to CO On June 10 I emailed PVC and asked for an estimated CO assignment date for a 143 lodgement date in June 2013 They immediatly replied quoting November/December If you go by the email auto reply from PVC they are saying 16 months but our quoted estimate of Nov/Dec amounts to 17/18 months Apparently an agent on this forum contacted PVC and was told I believe 21/22 months Cheers
