Hi ,My recollection of the AOS procedure is that our daughter ,the sponser, had to submit evidence of earnings etc to Centrelink in order for them to approve the application. Centrelink then informed Immi that the application had been approved and that the Bond had been deposited with the Commonwealth Bank Hope this helps

Hi When you say you applied for 143 June 13, do you mean June 2013 ? or June 13, if so which year 2013 or 2014 ? I suspect it was June 13 2013 in which case you applied exactly the date we applied so the communication on 8th January would be the CO assignment and they are asking for outstanding documentation and when that is received they will make their assessment and if everything is in order they will request the 2nd VAC When did your sponsor submit the AOS application, was it only after immi requested it ? If so ,I have heard that,in some states, Centrelink who notify immi when the AOS is in place, sometimes drag their feet a little I would suggest that your sponsor contact the Centrelink office where she/he submitted the application and inquire about it's progress. They may not as yet, have informed immi , which may be the hold up Hope this helps cheers Barry

Hi Maisie We already had an account in OZ with enough funds for the 2nd vac and our plan was to transfer funds online to our daughter's account who would then go into her own bank and request a bank cheque (in UK we call it a bankers draft) payable to DIBP and send by post to Perth immi We were, as it happens' in OZ when we were assigned a CO so we knew that the 2nd vac request was imminent so we organised the bank cheque ourselves and left it with our daughter to send to immi when it was requested . We bank with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and they charged just A$10 to provide the cheque One can pay by credit card but that attracts up to approx. a 3% surcharge or you could pay by credit card in GB pounds through the Australian High Commission in London but the exchange rate is set every 6 months and it could work to your disadvantage hope this clarifies cheers Barry

Hi We paid our 2nd VAC last month and the was no option to pay by electronic transfer so therefore you cannot instruct the foreign exchange company to pay on your behalf by that method Barry

re initial entry date in above post Reply from Perth immi - Quote "The initial entry date was extended by 3 months as per our policy to allow for more time for you to make an initial entry into Australia on your new visa" One learns a little more each day of the workings of the Immigration service cheers

Hi everyone whoopee, received our visa 143 grant letter today Time line: 14 June 2013 Application lodged with Perth immi 28 June 2013 1st vac (A$2060) taken by creditcard 7 th September 2013 Acknowledgement received with dates to complete UK police checks and Medicals and to complete form 80 immediately 18 September 2013 Sent scanned copies of Form 80 to Perth immi 15 March 2014 Requested HAP(health assessment portal) Id numbers 20 March 2014 Received HAP Id numbers from Perth immi 15 May 2014 Received UK police check certificates @£45 each 26 June 2014 Completed Medicals @£270 each Late June 2014 Daughter completed AOS application 16 July 2014 AOS approved and A$14000 paid 8 January 2015 CO assigned (whilst in OZ)with request for scanned copies UK police check certificate and were asked to apply for Australia Federal Police clearance certificates because we had spent more than 365 days in OZ in the last 10 years (actually spent 368 days in Oz but they wouldn't waive it for the sake of 3 days) They also asked for passport bio data scans, which we knew we had sent ,our marriage certificate, which they couldn't trace as having received and the Forms 80 scans 10 January 2015 Perth immi said they had found evidence of receiving forms 80 but couldn't locate them (they had not been placed on file)and had found the passport bio data scans - fortunately email and forms attachments were on our files so just sent again 13 January 2015 Back in UK - Set about applying for AFP clearance certificates online and sent scan of the "missing" marriage certificate 27 January 2015 AFP certs scanned and sent to Perth immi 10 February 2015 Request for 2nd VAC , A$84440, and sent by daughter on 12th 16 February 2015 Visas 143 granted The visa grant letter sets out the date by which one must complete your initial entry into OZ and we were quoted 14 August 2015 but based on the fact that our UK police check certificate was dated 15 May 2014 we expected the latest date to make our intitial entry would be 15 May 2015 Does anyone know if the rules have been changed recently ? We have sent an email to Perth immi to clarify this point It seems that the days of sending certified copies of documents is over and they now will accept scans - so master this skill Good luck to all those patiently waiting Cheers Veronique and Bazza Good luck to everyone still waiting for things to happen

Hi Got 2013 on the brain at the moment Our 143 was lodged 13 June 2013 and if we follow the timeline of Carob (who posted earlier today) we should receive our CO assignment within a day or so Cheers

Hi According to Perth immi auto reply email today, they are assessing 173 to 143 applications lodged on 24 June 2013 So perhaps they applied later than you can recall Cheers

Hi everyone The good news is that the immi auto rep!y is functioning again after a lapse of 10 days or so The bad news is that the assessment date for 143/173s is unchanged from the auto reply dated 9 December, ie 27 May 2013 Things seemed to be looking up a month ago ,but alas , not much progress since then

Hi everyone Just to complicate the lodgement to assessment/CO assignment date, today's auto reply from immi says they are assessing applications lodged on 20 May 2013 So in 5 days they have gone from assessing applications 19 months and 2 weeks after lodgement to 18 months and 1 week after lodgement How Tony1 got his assessment date less than 5 months after lodgement complicates it even further Barry PS perhaps Alan Collett of Gomatilda could throw some light on this - Please

The immi auto reply today states they are assessing 143/173's lodged on 9 April 2013 which seems odd because on 5 November Richard Coull was given his assessment start date and he lodged his application on 12 April 2013 So in 3 weeks they have gone back 3 days !!!!!!

Hi Rich Auto reply from perth immi as of 1600 Perth time states that they are processing 143s lodged in March 2013 Both Andalog and jen 1977 have already stated that if your paperwork is in order the processing time is about 2 weeks I don't really think that it is appropriate for you to ask an agent(in this case gomatilda)for info on this subject without being prepared to pay for info supplied when it appears from recent posts by you that you are already are well informed, albeit it misguided ,about the procedural process

Hi. Jenn , Thanks very much for the updates I suspected as much that lodgement had been confused with acknowledgement because on the Gainwave website the lodgement date no longer appears on the tracker after the application lodgement has been acknowledged! It just shows that too little understanding of the terminology of the CPV process can lead to the wrong conclusions Regards Barry

Hi. Alan Collett of GoMatilda is very kindly looking into the glitch with Gainwave on our behalf Barry

Hi the website http://www.gainway.co.uk does exist but it has nothing to do with CPV tracking - I think you mean http://www.gainwave.co.uk

Hi I can confirm that Gainwave in still down (here in Perth 1645 hours) If you want to go ahead with your medicals you can obtain your HAP Id by emailing Perth immi and quoting the reference HAPLTR in the subject text and quoting your file reference number which you would have been supplied with as part of your acknowledgement letter Barry

Hi Perth immi will only accept certified copies of documents You say "we" emigrated to Oz. From that I assume that you are a couple. If you are the daughter of the parents who you wish to sponsor and are married you will need to supply a certified copy of your birth certificate and a certified copy of you marriage plus evidence that you have been a settled resident in Oz for more that 2 years Certification of documents is provided free of charge in many shopping centres (I can only vouch for Perth)by retired solicitors and JPs Just take the original document with a photocopy of it and they will certify the photocopy for you Hope this helps Cheers
