This is the issue. There are no institutes here providing supervised training in the school. How can that be covered or maybe an alternative. I have a 5 years teaching experience though.

Hey Guys, Need a little assistance in my case. i am a graduate in Design (B.de.) It's a 4 years degree. I am teaching Mediat Stues and ICT (Information communication and technology) to classes 9-12. I am planning to start my 1 year PGCE from a local university here in Pakistan. I just want to know if a 1 year ONLINE course would be okay from a recognized university. Or is it anyway lesser than the on campus course. AITSL gave me the following reply: If the online PGCE meets the academic and practical requirements detailed in the AITLS assessment criterion ithe qualification will be considered. AITSL does not provide a pre-assessment service/ advice on qualifications/courses of study that will lead to a positive assessment outcome. AITSL compares an applicant's qualifications against the assessment criteria in place at the time they apply. Without a complete application including a full set of evidence AITSL is not able to provide an opinion. Thanks

Yes but I am talking about the secondary school teachers skilled occupation under skilled nominated visa subclass 190. Would experience substitute the formal 1 year qualification they require? Regards

Hey Guys, Need some help regarding the Secondary School Teachers Skill. The SOL states that secondary school teachers are required in many territories, I am vey much interested in applying for that. I have a Bachelors Degree in Communication design and have been teaching Design, Media Studies and other computer related subjects to Class 9-11. I have a 5+ years experience in schools. However I do not have any formal qualification in the field of education. I read somewhere that the experience is equivalent to the education. The skill assessing body however does not state that and clearly asks for it. Just want to kow if anyone has an experience or any idea regarding that. It would be really helpful for me. Thanks

You guys are doing great work by sharing your experience here. I am here with a slightly immature query. I have not applied yet. I have a teaching experience in secondary school for 5 years. However, I do not have a degree or qualification in teaching or education. Got band 7 in IELTS. I have 2 questions: 1. Do I need some degree or certification related to the Educational Industry? Or the experience can cover? 2. Is it worth going for all the hassle of taking classes for IELTS and appearing again? Thanks
