I can't understand this, are you going to apply online??

What I have done was certified translation, but u can call them and ask of they can certify documents as true copy or not... Anyway, you don't have to certify the copies if u r applying online, u can scan the original document. I applied to vetassess online so I scanned the original documents and sent them.... I did not send hard copy

Hi, I translated my documents at an office called " Audhali Translation Services " they translate the documents and stamp itas certified translation. It is near to Alrashid mall. Phone: 0138643011 This was accepted by vetassess Just make sure to review the translation and give them the correct spelling of the names and any specific expression . You may also try another certified translator.

I have created EOI but it is not submitted yet as I'm still waiting to do IELTS, anyway, this was an email that I received via my SkillSelect account today. It is official email and I have pasted here its content.

A skills assessment must be valid at the time of lodgement for the following visas: The Direct Entry stream of the Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 186) visa; The Direct Entry stream of the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa; and The Graduate Work stream of the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa. A skills assessment must be valid at the time of invitation to apply through SkillSelect for the following visas: Skilled – Independent (subclass 189) visa; Skilled –Nominated (subclass 190) visa; and Skilled Regional (Provisional) (subclass 489) visa. These changes do not affect the Temporary Work (Skilled) (subclass 457) visa.

These are the exact stages I have been through: Applied online : 19.01.2014 Status "Lodged" : 20.01.2014 Invoice letter by post: 05.02.2014 Status changed to "In progress": 06.02.2014 Status changed to "Completed": 09.05.2014 Assessment Outcome online: 13.05.2014 اللهم لك الحمد و الشكر Hope this would help

Hi, I applied on 19th of January and it was completed on 9th of May. Got the result online on 13th of May.

Hi, I hope they announce the full new SOL soon. I have noticed this sentence in the SBS news: "The federal government has limited the general skilled migration program at 43,990 skilled visas over the next financial year." Does this mean that they reduced the number of visas for the year 2014/2015. As far as I know it was 190,000 last year !!

I would suggest contacting the Saudi embassy in your country, explain the situation and show them the CO request and they may help you.

just a quick question .. why are u applying separately .. why don't u apply on the same application and get 5 points more for the partner skills .. as long as u can prove ur relationship with enough documents

Hi everyone, Anyone here applied to Vetassess recently after they implemented the new upload system ,, if yes ,, then any idea if I can email them to ask them to upload more documents after submitting the application. Also, How are the status change ,, mine was "submitted" now it is "lodged" is there any difference .. also, I got the email from them only when I submitted the application , is there any other emails to be sent to acknowledge receiving the documents. There are lawyers in Saudi Arabia who have notarial services like certifying documents. Other option is to phone the Australian embassy in Saudi Arabia - Ryaidh ( they have notarial services with fees) and ask them if u can certify this document as it will be presented to australian authority and book appointment or send it with post http://www.saudiarabia.embassy.gov.au/ryad/consular.html The lawyer option can be cheeper and easier

Hi everyone, While submitting Vetassess application, I was requested to provide proof for not being in Australia (to determine the fees) .. but I read somewhere that if none of my addresses is in Australia then I don't have to provide evidence .. is that true!!!

You can also check the Skilled regional (provisional) visa subclass 489 https://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/489.aspx The University lecturer is still opened in Murray ... I don't know much about this visa, but u can consider it if u don't want to wait .. although I believe that waiting can be better so u don't get tied to Murray for long time ...

Hi hardikbv, Unfortunately I didn't, it was a big shock that NSW closed the nomination, However, no one can predict if "University Lecturer" will be in July list or not... The options I have now is either wait to see the list next July or try to find occupation that matches the specialization of my studies and job duties... and get the assessment for it ....

Hi shoegal68 you can apply for police certificate by post as per the instructions on their website here http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx you need to fill the form and and send the required documents which are listed in the checklist and the fees and they will send the police certificate to you ... even if u r the UK you will do it the same way ..

Thanks wrussell, I'm teaching courses in Civil Engineering ,,, my BSc, PhD, and teaching are all in the same field .. but my concern is about the sentence that says that the qualification should by highly relevant to the nominated occupation ... and since lecturer is classified as education, would this mean qualification in Education or not .. It should be not because University Lecturers are specialized in their fields only and it is not necessary to have qualification in education to be a Lecturer .. I appreciate ur suggestion, but where I live now there are no registered agents, plus i'm not sure if i would be able to afford it or not

University Lecturer is group A which states: Group A Occupations require a qualification which is at least at the level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation. In addition to this, the applicant must have at least one year of post-qualification employment in a field which is highly relevant and at an appropriate skill level to your nominated occupation completed in the five years before the date of application for a Skills Assessment. I have Bachelor in Civil engineering and PhD,and my work experience is University Lecturer, so this is ok for the one year employment condition ,,, but what about the qualification in highly relevant field,,, does this mean Bachelor in Education or what.... If anyone here knows anything about this .. please HELP
