  1. I'm starting to wonder if there is any point continuing with migration! My partner and I are both nurses. Both original diplomas approx 20 years ago and both have done post Grad degrees. Neither courses ever did much if any pharmacology! What should we do?
  2. Thanks Kelly, wow it's insane it is taking so long. Is it that they don't really want us or they are just inundated! Got positive skills ax back 2 days ago just doing EOI now. Xx
  3. Yeah I have heard. It's a risk waiting but there is a very good change both of us (both nurses) may fail medical. We both have degrees so hopefully that may speed it up. Have you had issues? Thanks Kelly and great they do Saturdays
  4. Thanks, that's what I always thought, then I heard 6 months from visa grant and Someone on here said they had 5 weeks from grant to date to arrive. Were not applying for nursing registration until visas granted so that if we don't get them we haven't wasted yet more money if we fail our Medicals. I will keep hopeful in the year. We will be doing the Medicals around October. Does anyone know if the Medicals can be done on Saturdays? We will be going to Manchester. Thanks x
  5. Hi, can anyone tell me the average time from visa granted to having to fly? thanks
  6. Thanks, does anyone know or have had experience with similar problems and gone through the process?
  7. Yes we feel we have to try or we will always wonder. But our medical problems are not simple unfortunalty, both quite complicated. My partner has old MH issues no longer a problem and now chronic back issues with a spinal cord stimulator fitted. Working full time so that should help our case. On strong painkillers which we would have to pay for but she would be likely to need to be under a pain consultant incase she has problems with her implant. I am stil being monitored for a small melanoma removed no problems since it was removed 3 yrs ago. (Don't judge I know it may seem daft going to a hot sunny climate!)
  8. My partner and I are going it alone. No probs so far we can't afford £5000 for an agent. But we both have medical issues and it's heart breaking to think we have to spend £3800 for visas plus £1000 for both Medicals to possibly be refused. Am I right in thinking there is absolutely no way I can get any idea of medical yes or no before applying for the VISA? thanks
  9. Ok done some more digging. I need to apply to ANMAC before going to the magistrates as there is a cover letter I need. Ielts done and NMC pin sent off already. I have my Uni certificates and transcripts but what is the syllabus? Isn't that the same as the transcript? argh!
  10. Can anyone list the exact documents I need to get verified at the magistrates? Planning to go this week but just want to make sure I have everything, dont want to have to arrange to go back. Thanks
  11. Hope what I am saying is correct, I will get corrected if I am wrong, I have been waiting nearly 4 months for my university transcripts! They have made several cockups!
  12. Does anyone have an information on pre visa application Medicals? been reading about it Australian government website but it's not clear who or if anyone can have a medical screening first. My partner and I both have medical issues that we would like to know before paying out thousands for the visa!
  13. Not sure if this helps or if anyone can clarify for me. I am just getting a reference from my current band 7, not seen anything asking for or about history from HR! I have been with my current employer for 8 years so any previous experience I am just putting in a covering letter.
  14. Has any body got an information and advice on taking my car? Shipping costs and can it go in a large shipping container surrounded by household goods? im a long way off going but my car is not great and need to buy a new one. Not an expense I wanted when planning to emigrate! Thanks
  15. Yes I heard a magistrate is best by Making an appointment at the court, but what do I need signing? copies of: passport uni transcripts can and original reference, there must be more? Ta xx
  16. Hi guys, can someone please confirm the documents I need signing by JOP for ANMAC and AHPRA? Thank you
  17. So you just turned up at court with the papers and someone who you hadn't arranged to meet signed them? Also what is the difference between a solicitor and justice of the peace?
  18. Sorry Lorna I didn't doubt your advice just needing as much double checking before Sarah didn't turn up to her IELTS!
  19. I am a nurse, main applicant skills assessment with ANMAC, IELTS passed, yeah! My partner also a nurse doesn't need the skills assessment, so only needs APHRA therefore no IELTS right? she has full UK education including diploma and degree.
