That's awesome news!!! I plucked up the courage to make contact as well. She told me the the timing of the grant will still be the 8-9 months and advised me to follow up with a WHV in the mean time if i need to start work. She also told me that she had assessed me for the subclass 100 which I am really happy about!!! Wish she had emailed me that info ages ago. It's hard when you go months without hearing anything and you have loads of questions. I'm glad I contacted her wish id done it sooner to put my mind at rest!!! Now hurry up new year...we're on the last stretch now!

I keep saying...all i want for Christmas is a visa grant haha but either way it will be new year and a great way to start 2014!

Yes it seems like a friendly nudge seems to remind them about you or something! I've been scared to contact my C.O though as they put not to enquire about processing times. Just don't want to annoy them and for them to me me at the bottom of their pile eeeek! even if my enquiry is valid. I've not herd anything from her in 5 months so I'm just hoping everything is ticking over nicely. But it's definitely nice to know May are getting grants now so It could be any day! but then again it could be another tow months ahhhhhhh

Hi i also came to OZ on a toirist visa in September. I was told that I have to leave the country and come back in every three months. When i went to NZ i emailed my c.o just to let them know. Hope that helps? When did you apply for your PMV?

Hey thanks yeah I stayed a week in NZ and couldnt change me ticket so came home...no visa. Having the worce luck with it all....tried responding to emailing but no reply. Phone calls just go stright to general enquires. No worries to be honest it was a risk going anyway. I was gonna go back and try again but some advice on here and i think in my situation im going to give up on it!

Soo next week i am off again to see if i can have any luck with a WHV grant! This time im going for a bit longer. N hopfully all goes to plan ha Last question i promise.... As ive still got 3 months to go before my partner visa comes though. When it finaly does I know i have to go offsore again but do i have to leave stright away? Or can i wait till may? We'd rather go then together. Thank you :-)

My situation isnt typical...im applying so i can head back to oz to live with my family and partner while i wait for my 309/100 visa to come through. Basically so i can work and save. Whats your plans? How long did yours take?

Thank you! Yeah we've actually been living together for 4 and half years as well. But yeah maybe they have just changed the rules. I applied in May. So maybe its a new thing as my C.O hasnt said anything to me. I will live in hope though as it would be nice! Just heading into my 7th month so hopfully last few months to go eeeek Anyone get that lovely grant email this week?

Just wondering if you've been together/plus living together for 4.5years is that standard you go stright to 100? Cos i have with my partner but my c.o didnt say anything to me :-( Still hoping as that would be ace! Congrats on getting your c.o!

Heyyy yeah im over on a tourist ETA been here just under 3months now so im off to New Zealand next week to re new my visa. Lovin Melbs! Just cant wait to properly settle once this visa comes through! Really hope we hear more people getting grants this week!! I'll be logging on to check for updates :-)

heyyy my U.K police check took about 2 weeks. yeah it has gone really quiet on here. Fingers crossed we start to see more April grants in the coming weeks. Then us May applicants will be next! eek
