Hey everybody I've had a little look around this forum at the jobs section and found some very interesting bits! My only concern at the moment is a lot of the jobs eligible for you to get a second year visa are asking for you to do 5-6 months work at one time often in remote places! I was wondering if there is anywhere that would be looking to take somebody on for 3 months instead so I have more time to see more of the country! Thanks

Hey thanks for the replies from both of you ill have a look on that site! And yes I do intend to do regional work! I've had a look at some jobs but a lot of them say they want at least 5 months work and are very rural! I was hoping to do 2-3months at a time and move on to see more of the country.

Yeah im in the same boat, landing on the 21st August in Sydney on my own. Also slightly nervous but VERY excited! If your around the same time would be good to hear some of your plans, like llona said a nice cold beer with people is always a good place to start meeting new people! First of all, sorry if this is in wrong place. Ok lets begin, basically I'm coming to OZ on 21st August on a WHV, I'm landing in Sydney and really have no idea beyond my first week where/what I will be doing. The only thing i know is that i will need to get some work because I'm not taking enough $$$ to get by for a year without doing. If there is anybody that can point me in the right direction on this Forum/Site to any helpful information with regards to employment, hospitality, tips, guides, etc. It would be much appreciated or if you want to share your own personal stories. Also if there is anybody else out there at around the same time as me, wether you are just landing or have been there for a long time already it would be good to meet up and go for a beer, to discuss travel plans/where you have already been etc. I look forward to hearing from you guys!
