  1. SS comes through within 3 weeks but some are getting theirs within 6 days we are currently waiting for ours. The visa application can be done online also and you can track the progress of this. You should receive an email to do with SS which you print off and sign and then email back to them and they then send you an automatic invite to apply for a 190 visa. The visa application charge is supposedly going up 1st September so lets all hope we get ours in by then!
  2. Hiya, Me and my husband are looking for a short term fully furnished house to rent in Perth. We are enquiring into what availability there is? Our 190 visa has not yet come through but we will be ready to come over straight away. Any advice on where to look etc would be greatly appreciated. We have three children aged 9,5 and 2.
  3. apparently its things like blood pressure, they do urine sample, blood test, height, weight, check your eyes, nose and throat and just have a general chat and ask you questions about your previous health history
  4. i want more info on this as i had read it somewhere but can't find it again now! we are waiting for the invite to apply for 190 so i really hope we get ours in before 1st september. How come they are putting the prices up again considering they only put them up on the 1st july?
  5. firstly, the test is easy and you can check your result before proceeding and if you want to do that section again, you can. And secondly, to add a timeline, click on either settings or my profile and on the left hand side you will see " edit signature", this is where you write your timeline. Good luck!
  6. that is great that you have had the initial contact email are you going for state sponsorship?
  7. that is fab mikearkwright!! well done! hopefully ours wont be too long then either. that is really promising to hear such positive news
  8. thanks guys. i know waiting is important but it is so much harder with hubby already been out in perth. He has been there for 10 weeks now! he has secured a job so we dont have that to worry about but just hope things get moving quickly. i suppose we are further on than a lot of people but still, its fustrating
  9. Just wondering if anyone else in the same situation? We submitted WA SS 2/8/2013 and we were just wondering how long it takes to get approval and an invite to apply for the visa? any info greatly appreciated. thanks
  10. i know. we have been lucky so far. good luck with yours
  11. we are also applying for 190 WA. we submitted our EOI on the 25/07/2013 and we had an invite to apply for state nomination on the 1/8/2013. I sent the application for this the very same day :-) (so very keen) and now we are just waiting for approval for that.
  12. we have an agent but we feel as though we have done a lot of the paperwork ourselves and we find its us chasing them up with phone calls rather than them making a scheduled phone call to us. they are useful if you do happen to have a complex case (although we dont feel we have a complex case) we just went with them for the security that if something did come up that was untoward, that at least we would have them to help sort it out. We have felt like pulling out and demanding our money back several times but we dont need the added stress and paperwork on top of trying to get a visa! The agents fees are paid in full so we are sticking with them!
  13. the EOI does come next and as u mentioned you have an agent, they do the EOI for you. Make sure you insist on having the log in details so you can look for yourself as we have an agent who has done the EOI but we like to see for ourselves also :-). May i ask what visa you are applying for?
  14. i would also like to know this! we are doing 190 western australia
