While applying I can see there are questions related to regional area instead of designated area. Can you please let me know if I would need to select "Yes" or "No" for such questions.

 2. Hi, Anybody out there who has/had applied for Victoria's state sponsorship as a Software Engineer(261313). Please let me know asap, need to know few details. Any pointers/suggestions are always appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 3. Last year I got my skills assessed from ACS for my occupation but that time I had only 2 years of experience. Now, as i have completed 3 years so want to get my skills assessed for 3 years to claim those extra 5 points. Do i need to lodge a new request with ACS or can i reopen the same application? please guide. Anybody faced the same situation?
 4. Thanks Ballac and catbin... i heard from my CO on 29 May. I actually called up DIAC inquiry number and from them i came to know that i already had a CO assigned to my application. So i sent him an email and immediately next morning he replied me asking for few additional documents. It took me around 3 weeks for me to produce PCC, once i submitted after one week i got my Visa. I will suggest if you should call DIAC, may be your case has already allocated but he/she might not have contacted you. All the very best for your decisions. Cheers. Punj
 5. I got my visa grant today :-) and all the best for your decision :-) yeah its tough to wait but "all wll that end well" :-)
 6. Hi, Can anybody guide me whether or not a person whose occupation is on SOL list instead of CSOL apply for State sponsorship? Thanks! Punj
 7. Many congratulations dexter :-) when was the case officer allocated to your application ?
 8. Okay let me give you more details: I entered my TRN, dob, passport number and the. Country but hen I click on Next button every time I get the below message : This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. so I think this is a problem with whole system and it can't no be a TrN specific. What say? h e you also applied for skilled migrant visa (189 or190 or 489)
 9. After entering details on this page it's saying "temporarily unavilable" :-(
 10. Please share the DIAC email where I can contact them for my visa enquiry. It been 4 months and I am yet to hear from a case officer. I tried calling then on tel:+611300364613 but after a waiting time of half an hour they disconnected :-( Please advise. Thank you.
 11. Aha ! Congratulations Nishit ... No mate I am yet to hear from them but glad to hear that you got CO. hopefully you will get positive result also :-) have also uploaded all he documents including medical(link is disappeared bit evidence o medical is still in recommended status), PCC uploaded. If you don't mind pleas what your email of where I can contact you, need to know certain things ! Punj
 12. Just too curious to know if anybody's application has been assigned to a case officer. I lodged visa application on 21 jan but yet to hear from DIAC. Allocation time in website I'd reduced to 8 weeks from earlier 10 weeks but I don't know why my application has not been allocated. anybody else faced the same issue?
 13. Hi Cheena -Is your application assigned to Case Offcer? even i lodged visa application on 21 Jan but i am still waiting for CO... i checked they have even reduced the allocation times from 10 weeks to 8 weeks. bit tensed; cant even wait... share your application status...!!!
 14. Hi Amit - Any updates on Case officer?
 15. You are on a right track ... Just wait for a case officer .. Once he/she is assigned to your application; 'll guide you accordingly ... CO will tell you when you need to take up PCC... You can see the status receive after couple I days ... For me also it took some time to reflect this status ... all the best for your application !!
 16. Congrats buddy !!! All the best for your new innings !!!
 17. :-) posted my email on your timeline ... Surely will be glad if I could help ou in any way ... See you there ... Waiting for your email !!!
 18.

Hey Manik my email ID is puneetpunj88@gmail.com... Will see you there :-)

 19. Of course mate ... As you might have seen even I have got my assessment as software engineer ... I would suggest you to get your assessment done without any further delay ... As the ceiling for 261313 is almost met only 800-900 invitations are left ... Once your assessment is done for 3 years your points would look like: age 30 graduation 15 ielts 10 Software engineer : 5(for three years)
 20. It depends on the occupation ceiling ... What is your profession ? You can check the occupation ceiling in below link under Reports section : http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/

Hey manik ... Saw your post about 189 visa ... Even I was in the same boater months back ... First of all you new to get your profession assessed by respective australian community followed by EOI and actual visa application ... I would suggest you should go for 189 ASAP ... All the best !!

Btw What is your profession?

 22. Countries listed in the below DIAC's website link are among low risk, rest all are in high risk list ... http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration/eta-eligible-passports.htm what is your source of information?
 23. Hey Amit... as india is categorised as high risk country so its taking more time to process the application compared to others like UK,Ireland(low risk countries)... i lodged an application for 489 and its been more than 13 weeks and i am yet to hear from CO... and i was advised that this is normal scenario ... so be patient.. :-) All the best for your visa decision.. hopefully you will get it soon...
 24. looks like even 189 for indian fellows is taking time... as India is categorized under high risk country i think they are doing much more inspection... anyways, all the best for your visa !!
 25. No mate... i am done with medical and also submitted PCC... once submitted police clearance will contact DIAC... hopefully by next week everything 'll be over from my side... i have hardly seen anybody who has been granted 489 FS. do you know anyone? did you apply through agent?
