  1. My case officer sent me an email but always the same words. no actual information on the status of the application. She said that there are 2 stages and mine is in the 2nd stage. No further information. I think they dont know either what is happening
  2. But you sent them the detailed transcript already no? what do they need more? I cannot understand.
  3. Asked for an update on my registration and they sent me the exact words there are in the website. No timeframes, new regulations and applicants will be informed if new documentation needed. Seriously!!!! This registration takes ages and it does not make sense. Or you are in or you are out.
  4. Its way expensive. They say its from 10000 to 16000 dollars!!!!! The thing is that they are still giving permanent visa on diplomas I think. They shoud make an agreement together AHPRA and ANMAC cause it does not make sense that they give you the permanent visa because you are a nurse than they block your registration. We will end up working as a waiter than. pffff. I am from Malta, I got uk registration. It took me a year but because I was not in a hurry. (eventually I did not use it). Its not that they were thinking of refusing me but I had to send different papers all the time and I applied as a diploma nurse at that time. Now I applied with the bachelor degree but I do not know if its like the australian degree as they say and their assessment is taking ages. In another blog there were people saying that they got to do the bridging although they have a degree too. pfff this lack of information is killing me. I am leaving to oz in a month time and I want to know where I stand. I emailed to my case officer but she is on leave till next week. So cannot do much!!
  5. What I do understand is that bridging program is 3 months or so. The thing is from other blogs I ve seen that people with bachelor degrees were referred to bridging too. So I hope thats not the case. They should update us, those that already have their application in progress. This waiting does not make sense without updates. Hope that everyone keeps updating the forum at least so we will know what is happening.
  6. Yes I saw it, it says that diploma is not accepted anymore for registration. In addition I was reading another blog and they were saying that alot of nurses are being refused registration and they have to do the bridging, which by the way is way expensive. I got worried.
  7. It seems they changed the international nurses section. I hope that they wont refuse those who ve been waiting for 5 months. Its funny how they left our application pending till the new changes.. So this means that no Diploma nurses are accepted anymore in Australia. Just degree nurses and now are they going to hurry the process or we need to wait another 5 months to know something!!! I am frustrated and tired of all the pending and waiting.
  8. hi, but do you have a case officer assigned? You should ask him directly. I dont know what is happening they usually give it in 6 weeks. I have a case officer, she told me that they assessing the qualifications. I will ask for an update next week. Can they refuse our registration although we were accepted by ANMAC?
  9. hi, but you said you do have a bsc too so why are they going to assess you only on the diploma? I sent mine with documents end of september and still waiting. I was allocated a case officer 2 weeks ago. Hope they decide fast because I am tired of waiting and leaving to australia in march so I will surely need it. Keep updated so we ll see if they are giving any LOE or not. To keep hopes up.
  10. I have a case officer now on my case. does anyone knows how long it takes now? Cause I ve been 4 months and I am frustrated with this wait.
  11. I think you should recheck again because it does not make sense..
  12. i am in the same situation and i am leaving for melbourne in march. hope i ll get it till then.
  13. Same here. It is really a disappointment due that their usual time frame is way to over.!!!! hope we ll get it soon.
  14. Hi did you get your LOE yet? I applied 27th september and they verified it 1st october 2013. They say its under assessment but still waiting. Its frustrating. I applied in Victoria.
  15. Hi did you receive your LOE. I applied end of september and they verified it 1st october 2013. Its under assessment they told me on the phone but its taking too long. We are leaving to melbourne in March. Hope I get the registration by then.
